If Reading continue their good form against Ipswich and Forest win away tomorrow at QPR...

We will open up a nice gap at the top if we can pick up the win at home tomorrow. Of the three ties I see the Forest result as the one most in doubt... I have a sneaky feeling that if we focus on retaining our form match to match, play the best 11 at all times with two up top we could find...

Naylor suggests the window is essentially shut

I did indeed Sheebo. My tweet was just a précis'd version of Easy's post. Fingers crossed that it turns out to be true - and if not Calleri then Vydra to give us the goals we need for automatic promotion.

Ipswich Town vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Fantastic stuff - a real statement of intent with potential another signing to come. Great to see Bobby get on. Now we need to consolidate this run after the international break.

    Gout. Please help.

Naproxen and 500mg of Co-codamol do it for me. Plus the painkillers give you a nice fluffy feeling for a few hours. Brightens up an otherwise tedious day in the office

The stream is still showing at the moment (though the other Champ games are too?). Fingers crossed it might play....(not holding my breath though?). Guess we'll know at 7.45.

    Southend v Brighton 11th August

Anyone having difficulties with postal tickets? I bought mine last Tuesday and as of this morning nothing's arrived at home? I tried the ticket office but missed the closure point by 10 mins this evening . I'll have to call in the morning and see what can be done as I'm inside their 24 hour time...

    Watching Friday's Game....

We are in Ao Nang in Krabi and we haven't seen any bars that will be open for a game starting at 1.45am local time so the plan of attacks likely to be; 1. Check out BeIn Sports channel on the villas TV and see if they are showing the game rather than the advertised French League 1. 2. Browse...

Be honest, Zamora, were you there?

I was there too for all his Withdean years. Last seat in G Block on the aisle next to H block. Up near the back around a Row T I think. I remember Krispies away to my left a few rows down in H. Block. I bumped into Superphil at many a match home and away. You could tell Zamora was clearly...

    COG Stays

Bar the hold up play every other aspect of COG's game is poor. A sitter missed when he fell over when he struck the ball, he always seems off balance when he plays? His touch is poor too - too many looping flicks over his head while under pressure as he cant control the ball properly to bring it...

Any positives from the Lewes match?

Maenpaa looked assertive and comfortable coming for crosses. Rosenior is a good addition too. Our 18 Tilley? in the first half looked very promising - he ran at players and showed he could beat players and creat chances. Monakana in a similar vein to Tilley second half.

Lewes v BHA - A roll call for the Dripping Pan...

No tickets sold on the day at all (like last year). You need to buy them via the Lewes FC website and they send them to print at home or show via smartphone on the gate.

Lewes v BHA - A roll call for the Dripping Pan...

Ok - with Saturday looming who's got their tickets for The Albions first preseason friendly back on home soil? I'll start with me and the littlest Shankly Seagull who will be there via several local hostelries on route...:drink:
