Worth noting that all 9 BoE votes were for a cut (2 for a 0.5% cut), whereas the expectation was 8 for cut with 1 unchanged.
This tends to suggest a quicker rate of cuts upcoming, or more chance of further cuts...

I think I'm the same.
I changed jobs a couple of years ago, with the nearest office over 1.5 hours away. Took the job with the knowledge and WfH being fully OK, albeit ideally to go in at least once a week.
Due to the time (and cost) I'm definitely inclined to lot go in and am WfH at least 4...

Energy storage, using surplus renewable generation
ERFs with CC.
Wind/solar/green hydrogen and other renewables.
Interconnectors to the continent.
Gas back up for peak demand, with CC.
