I want to like Scarborough, but the front is very tacky and grubby - a bit like Blackpool. It has potential though and is nice and cheap! The north bay / beach area and Scalby Park / sea life centre is my favourite end. I do prefer Whitby though, it' has great views...

The Devonshire Fell? If so, I had a mates wedding there too. Years back when I was much fitter I'd ride my bike up to Burnsall and back to Ilkley through Bolton abbey. I'd struggle now - those hills are a bit much!

Hi, there are some lovely towns and villages in North Yorhahkre - depends on what you want. Whitby is a busy seaside town full of little B&B's - decent pubs too and great fish and chips. It's on the edge of the North York moors for walks too. Robin Hoods Bay and other little seaside hamlets...

Thanks all, lots of useful tips as always. I'm probably going to do a bit mor research, choose some 4K tv's I like the look of and then wait until Black Friday and get them for the best price. I did note that JohnLewis have similar prices but their TVs have a longer warranty so I may factor...

Hi, my old HD ready tv is dead, so I'm having to use a really old one at the mo. I've got £500 and was thinking about upgrading to a 4K 43inch Sony that Tesco are knocking out at £499. Should I bother with 4K or just get a better full HD one and save some cash? Or do I need to put more cash...

I love Burriana beach, it's been too windy to go in the sea so we've spent quite a lot of the day drinking in various bars there... It's a fantastic spot that if recommend to everyone.
