The Argus is saying that he needs to drop his wages if he is going to stay at Brighton. As per discussions with Gus. Gus is away for two weeks now, so not much will be happening whilst he is gone.
As mentioned in previous threads Jake Caskey is now the youngest player to debut for Brighton.
The debut by Mitch Walker on the same day, was he the youngest goalkeeper to make a first team appearence? ( 18 years old ).
In any event I think we have a lot to look forward to with these boys.:clap2:
Personally, I would like to see Brez as number 1, Mitch as back up to him as number two. Rather than getting in another keeper with more experience and a bigger pay packet, spend the money you would save on a experienced striker, where we need it !!!!!!
Was at the game today, and i must say that i was impressed with Mitch, his shot stopping was good as well as his distribution. A very good debut, looked relaxed out there, didn't seem to get phased by the occaision.
Poyet good to his word, said he would play Mitch before the end of...
Pelling was not told over the phone, had a meeting with GP this morinig, along with Kuipers. Cannot believe the club would deliver this type of news over the phone. As someone said earlier, GP and the club are a little more professional than that.....
Looks like Kuipers & Pelling have been released. I am surprised about Kuipers, would have thought he would have been given another year.
What are our options now........ Obviously getting another keeper in, new keeper playing in the reserves today, could be interesting to see what he is like.
Went to the game today, generally was a OK performance. Caskey did well, finished his chances well. Barker scored a good goal, but also missed a sitter. I believe he needs to be a lot more clinical to be a success. Cook played well. Cox had a complete weston. Virgo did OK.
Should have a good...
I think it would be good to see some of the youngsters given a chance, Walker has been on for a while and maybe bring in George Barker and Lewis Dunk. I appreciate that they will not all get a chance, but even if they get bought on for a short period, it will give them a taster of 1st team...
v Brentford @ Lancing 7pm Kick Off.....
Anyone going?
Likely team?
Also, Sussex Senior Cup on 3rd May do you think we should put a strong side out to win, or put the youngsters out, and still win!!!!:clap2:
Reasonable game tonight. Although Brighton fielded quite a young side. Some good performances from Dunk, Jamie Smith, but especially Walker. He made 6 or seven quality saves tonight. If it wasn't for him, it could have been embarrasing. Here's hoping he gets a start for the first team in the not...
Was at the game yesterday, well done boys a thoroughly deserved win. Lets carry that on against Oldham.
From the programme it looks as though Gus has promoted Mitch as Pete's understudy for at least the rest of the season. Glad to see the youth coming through. Hope he gets a game...
