[Albion] Are you going to the Chelsea Cup game?

as it turns out i couldn't make it for reasons outside of my control, but it was only confirmed a couyple of hours ago. I did be interested to see the stats on attendance v time of purchase. It's a moot point really. weather plus form plus time of kick off will see a quieter amex. we sold out...

[Albion] Are you going to the Chelsea Cup game?

Nonsense. We are a medium sized club in sussex and the club are very fair on it's fanbase.

[Albion] Are you going to the Chelsea Cup game?

That makes some sense but not really. The tickets were sold when the time was known. People don't attend things because of last minute circumstances - illness, family, something happening. Sure weather and traffic will play a part for some. I'm not sure a fiver makes that much of a difference...

[Albion] Are you going to the Chelsea Cup game?

So why up it on the day? That fiver psychologically might make a difference to a few people coming. It's a cheap price point for a reason- they know it's going to not be a sellout. So why ruin your chances further by increasing on the day?

[Albion] Are you going to the Chelsea Cup game?

I get the psychology of the price going up on the day, but at the same time i don't. In normal circumstances I would have bought in advance. Right at this period of time there's alot going on and I can't commit to things - even right now, not sure I can go (all outside of my control)...

    [Misc] Retirement

Im only just starting to properly save for my pension (41). I have been contributing to a SIPP for 11 years (was on workplace pension before hand) but at a low level as we had house to pay for and mouths to feed. I plan on sticking as much in as possible over the next few years, keeping it...

    [Offers] Hybrid working

I see both sides of the debate but there has to be a reason for the stance on either side. A place where I am working at the moment forces people to largely be in full time. However, their set up is not functional for what they make (TV and Films). As a freelance team, their stuff isn't up to...

    [Albion] Fab OUT

Having previously stood up for the guy, I think it's a FH out situation now. Lots of tactical naivety on display - but today was the worst. Having two experience international midfielders on the bench, even if they are half fit, and then having Hinshelwood who is half fit as the ONLY midfielder...

[Albion] Stand Or Fall…hanging upside down to watch this…anyone know when it may be available outside of England, specifically Down Under?!?

I work in this industry. This is frustratingly common. Likely held up in sales expectations Vs reality or paperwork (did every single person sign a form, or there's a bit of artwork on the wall that might want to charge half the films budget because it's in there). Probably a mixture of both.

    [Albion] Season ticket renewals 25/26

Which is fair. It's just not clear wording. I read it incorrectly.

    [Albion] Season ticket renewals 25/26

I think it's pretty clear that the club should do a bit of PR / change their words about this. At the moment I have some fairly serious stuff going on, and attending is difficult, so when i read the text, it read that i could have my ST taken from me for anything less than 75% of attendance...

[Albion] Club cancelling ST due to non-attendance

Absolutely will be a problem for parents with young children.

    [Albion] Pedro's "challenge" on Walton

they always speak to VAR - if you listen to the Mic'd up show. And i think that's right.

    [Albion] Pedro's "challenge" on Walton

I don't think the ref chickened out. You could see him speaking to VAR whilst making his decision.

    [Albion] Pedro's "challenge" on Walton

When asked PGMOL why this was not deemed a late challenge out of control that endangered an opponent (which in their handbook is a red card whether deliberate or not) they said “because in the context of football incidents like this are different.” In my view it is a yellow and correct...

    [Football] Next MOTD Host

Crouch is a good sidekick but he can't present at all. See his terrible Euros show on BBC1 in 2021. The show is very unlikely to change much from its highlights format, because that is the point of the it. About 50% of the population only see PL football through MOTD which is why the numbers...

    [Football] Next MOTD Host

I don't think choosing three really good presenters for your most trusted brand is playing it safe - it's putting it in the right hands. Who would you have chosen? The only other main candidate in the same level would be Pougatch and he's got the lead anchor role at ITV. Possibly Ade...

    [Football] Next MOTD Host

Lineker was a great presenter (after a shaky start) and became a real personality. I liked him alot. but 26 years in the game is alot, Des didn't last that long. MOTD is a great thing to watch, but doing it every saturday for that length of time will do for most people.

    [Football] Next MOTD Host

Three excellent choices - I've worked with all three. There is general praise from those within the industry at this announcement, which is based on talent rather than tick box affairs which has often been the trend in the past 10 years. All of them are good eggs, too.

    [Food] Chinese or Curry

a fantastic chinese is amazing but very rarely found in these isles outside a major city. Curry is a more consistent and better taste for me - too much sugar and msg in chinese generally.
