    [Travel] Trains on Sunday

Thanks for that. Search Angmering to Falmer and return and it shows about 2 an hour for Farmer to Brighton leg. Just search Falmer to Brighton and, as you say, it shows one every 10 mins! Computer programme can't cope. So it's the train for me.

    [Travel] Trains on Sunday

No they didn't. I checked Sunday morning around 9.30 and it showed 2 trains an hour. That's why I drove in.

    [Travel] Trains on Sunday

So to sum up the answers to my question. If you always hate queuing for any length of time it was a nightmare. If you take the more realistic view that clearing 30,000 people inevitably means maybe 30 mins queuing then it was fine. And if you are lucky with your timing after a pint there's...

    [Travel] Trains on Sunday

National Rail are showing 2 trains an hour back to Brighton after the Southampton game. They showed the same for the Everton game despite club saying it would be a full match day service so I drove in. Was it a nightmare after Everton? Who was lying?

    [Travel] Trains Now Running Sunday?

Been away for a week. Has the Sainsbury West Hove park and ride been put on? Cannot find info that it has on club website. Would have thought that if Southern were unsure of the service the club would have implemented it.

    Cuba

Depends what you like. Havana: pretty much anything at Gran Theatro for the experience if you like cultural things. In Plaza Vieja there's a coffee house ,Escorial, in one corner that roasts the best coffee in Havana (in my opinion) and opposite a bar that brews it's own (very decent) beer...

Advice re parking near Sainsbury's West Hove please.

Great. Thank you all. Obviously no problems with eg residents permits etc. I promise to park responsibly, Edna. Cheers.

Advice re parking near Sainsbury's West Hove please.

I have missed getting a parking space at Sainsbury's West Hove for Sunday but have a walk-up ticket for the park and ride bus. I will drive in from Worthing direction but don't know the streets near Sainsbury's at all. Where would be my best bet for parking and walking through to get the bus? I...

Not sure I've read a more ignorant post than this one.

    Walton on the Naze

Wondered how long that one would take. True though. Colchester v Doncaster on Good Friday is not too far to go. The Art Deco houses off the sea front between Walton and Frinton. That's about it. The Victory in Walton is a proper pub (if it's still there) with decent beer. The Lock and Barrel in...

    The Mystery of E1C

If it's the same as East upper where I am the division between sections is halfway between the access aisles ie the access aisle is in the middle of say section C. So maybe they just split it at the aisle.

    Mill Road parking advice please

Great info. Long furlong route was great shout both ways. Wouldn't have thought to do that. Left on 86 mins and was in East Wittering at ten past six via Storrington and Whiteways. No problem parking at 12.40. Thank you all again.

    Mill Road parking advice please

Can't take the gamble on Southern / RMT not mucking us about this afternoon. Thought I would try Mill Road park and ride as I come in from the west. What time should I arrive to make sure I get a parking place? And do the buses leave the Amex where they drop you off? Would I need to leave early...

    Yellow changed to red

Only seen it on TV but the slo mo seems to make it clear that; a) ref should not have blown for a foul b) ref should not have considered giving him a yellow, c) ref should not have changed it to red and d) ref should have booked Ramirez for knocking the yellow out of his hand. A biased opinion I...

    Travel advice please.

Yes you only pay to/from Worthing. I make a similar journey so a couple of tips. Don't expect the 18.22 from Littlehampton to get you to Falmer at 19.19 as per timetable. It won't due to the queuing at Brighton (and with a lot of Ipswich support expected there will be more pressure on the...

Funniest or strangest incident you have seen watching football.

Re the George Parris goal v Bristol City. George was staying with me at the time because he had not sorted out a place to live after his permanent move from Birmingham ( the club only put players in hotels if they were on loan then. After that it was their problem to sort out accommodation). I...
