As with other games, Kane is such a passenger in this team. He limits our attacking play so much with his lack of pace, lack of hold up play and being out of position. Apart from him I think it's been a fairly ok half from England. No better or worse than the previous game.

There was a sublime pass out to the left wing threading between two England players, was lovely.

England's best 45 mins for a very long time that. The Dutch have just sat behind the ball and tried to counter and that's rarely happened. It can be a little ponderous still, wrong pass picked, but overall much much better.

England have settled into this quite nicely now. Got lucky with the penalty, was it clear and obvious error? Still we'll take it. Much more positive than previous games.

Spain have taken the sting out of this game so well.
