Poyet's a long way off being our legend Manager but credit him - won League one playing his system (stayed top of the league for fricken ages) and then in our first season in the Champ consolidated and finished in a posi that the majority of fans would have taken before the start of the season...
Amazing as this may seem, the only two Chelsea fans I know are both from West London and both born within spitting distance of Stamford Bridge. Both have been Chelsea for donkeys years, even when they were utter dogshite when Kerry Dixon was one of their star players.
I'd be surprised if they bring that many. People still away on holiday, it's a Tuesday night and we're charging £34/£28 for adult away tickets. I hope you're right but I just can't see it.
I doubt if Cardiff will bring that many - could be wrong. Away ticket prices have gone up - cheapest for an adult is £28 in the corner and £34 for a seat on the East. I think we'll get less away fans this year. The big clubs and London clubs will fill it up but others less so. However good...
A total mess and I hope the Pompey Trust are successful in their takeover bid. At least the club would be run by fans - that may mean liquidation and start again - but that's better than another bunch of crooks taking over surely?
At the risk of repeating myself. The best thing to come out of this mess is for the Pompey Trust to takeover IMO. Then Pompey fans will be running the club. But for that to happen they MAY have to go into liquidation and start again. It'll take a while for them to climb back up the leagues...
But it's not just us who are saying this. A lot of their own fans and ex-players (Alan Knight - see my earlier post) who are saying the same thing. It may have to come to that for the Pompey Trust to have a chance of taking over - at least the club will then be run by proper supporters and not...
I think we're both right. Or you're right and I am wrong. Or I am right and you're wrong. Either way one of us is right and one of us is wrong, right?
Brilliant photos Ev. Can't see it on this thread but I assume the 'pic of the day' is the extension of the middle tier of the West - to wrap around the South West Corner?
