I agree. Although if the Lino had seen Martinez carry the ball out of the area (deliberate handball , therefore second yellow), it would have been very funny.
The second ball thrown in was comical. So blatant, right in front of the away fans. The other stand out “non” decision which was not picked up on TV was the two footed lunge on one of our players. Orange card possibly, but not even a (second?) booking for Romero (?).
That dive was disgraceful. What is the point of having all these rules (Foul Throws, 10 yards at freekicks, 6 seconds for goalkeepers, retrospective yellow cards for trying to deceive the ref etc) if they are not going to use them?
There was another penalty appeal by Forest in the middle of our box a minute or so before the Mitoma incident which the ref waved away. Has anyone got any clips of that one?
I see where you are coming from, but watching it again, it looks to me as if the Forest player starts to move his foot towards Mitoma’s arm first, rather than Mitoma catching his foot with his arm.
My season ticket neighbour was commenting on exactly the same during the game. We needed “Offside Reg” from Withdean days to voice his opinion. A bit like retreating 10 yards at free kicks, refs seem to ignore them until it suits them otherwise. He was right to call JH out though for meandering...
It was not a penalty. The Forest player slid his leg towards Mitoma to make it look like it was a foul. He should have been booked for trying to deceive the referee.
Tbf , the referee did not affect yesterday’s result, but there were a lot of very frustrating decisions. Just watching the PNE v Villa game now. Cash runs in front if the attacker, throws himself to the ground and “wins” a foul. I wish refs would just stop giving these “fouls” (Contact does not...
I disagree that Forest were better than us by a long way. We didn’t turn up in the first half and didn’t play a flowing game until late in the game. I think Forest edged it but in no way were they a lot better.
Genuine question. If, and I appreciate it is a BIG if, if we do win the FA cup this year, how much do we think Chelsea will put in a bid to buy it from us
Blimey, I had no idea. I must confess I have no plans to go to USA soon as the exchange rate is still poor ( I still have the receipt from buying golf clubs in Las Vegas in 1997 at $2\£1 😢) and I think there are other places to visit at much better value (SA,Japan etc) but Trump is not helping...
When I read stuff like that, I am really grateful I work with normal, happy, committed people! As the good old fashioned employment saying goes, better to have a hole in the team than an arxxhole.
