An astonishing £193 million net was spent bringing in nine new players in the summer and yet when you look at profit and loss over the past five years, the Albion are still in profit by nearly £39 million. This is testament to Tony Bloom’s genius!
The main problem with defending in recent games, all stems from the midfield. Gone are the superstars, Caceido, Mac Allister, Gross etc. I'm hoping new signing Gomes is strong and him playing regularly alongside Baleba, will at last give our defence some needed protection in front of them.
I think he knew worse case scenario he’d won £25k and was happy with that. Well worth a shot at £100k. Might have been different if there was 10p & £100k!
It’s very convenient to blame a party for debt’s but the raw facts are, that we have just had a once in a lifetime pandemic, which cost all countries.
I still think we are integrating a lot of new players. Wieffer will eventually just sit in front of the 2 centre backs and when O'Reilly plays in the middle with Baleba we will be a different proposition. However, until everyone's up to speed, we need to stop the high line.
I play a fair bit of golf and IMHO the key to a good waterproof is "teflon". Mine keeps all the wind out and the rain just bounces off it, like a non-stick saucepan!
Feel sorry for Fab. Cutting to the chase, he was just losing his shit like the rest of us in the ground because the referee didn't book Gibbs-White, despite recklessly going straight through Pedro and injuring him!
Because the ball went into touch and we’ve now got multi ball, so an Arsenal player could have just taken a thrown in with another ball. Rice’s booking was for preventing us taking a quick free kick which the new rules this season are designed to clamp down on!
As a young manager, I am impressed with his man management already and how he has ruthlessly moved on those he doesn’t want so quickly. Aided by a brilliant summer of recruitment, he has shaped the squad nicely!
