That's kinda what I'm getting it. I expect Potter took him on faith that there was something he could use at West Ham. It's our responsibility to msake sure we pick the right club for him and that he's fit enough to progress
I actually though all of the other 5 were pretty underwhelming. Jackson's one wasn't goal of the season by any standard, just an astounding pre-assist pass from Palmer, the Fulham one was decent and the rest were just hard shots

Hürzeler said himself, as did RDZ and Potter, that adapting to the PL is rock hard. At some point, maybe we should listen to them?
Finishing 4th on 87 points with 26 wins (including a run of 21 games unbeaten) is a very different type of form to finishing 4th with 76 points and on a run of 5 straight defeats, but yeah looking at it simply, they both came 4th.
At least Southampton bossed the Championship and came up with a winning mentality and style of play. Sunderland have been garbage for about two months.
Fair play coming good at the right time, but I suspect they will be rock bottom
They do, but they also need strength in depth. None of those teams will go into the summer only looking for one type of player. JP can play all across the front 4 and that's of huge value to any top team
I don't think you'll find a soul on this board that isn't delighted for him. I'm also really pleased for Scott McTominay, his sale from United always felt like it was a "face doesn't fit" PSR sale. Yet another hilarious example of someone leaving United to go on to better things
Can I just say this? No.
I'm not having it. I understand all the totally reasonable factors behind selling Mitoma, and I agree with all of them from a factual basis. It's our model, I trust it and we have to make sales like this would be to continue to thrive, but on an emotional level, no...
Looking at the league table, it passed me by somewhat that we've only lost 9 games in the Premier League this season. Considering we've had some defensively fragile moments and almost never had a consistent back 4, that's a heck of a result.
Even if we lose at Spurs, 10 games is still better...
For a transfer fee perspective it makes a big difference. What we can get at two years is so, so much higher than at one year. It depends on whether we'd write off 50% of a fee for an extra year.
Anyway, best option is that we get a contract in front of him sharpish for another 2-3 years
