Incidentally.....
I have a little project starting up this summer.
It will be a sports website(centering on football) to cover the South Coast(Hampshire, Dorset, Sussex, Isle of Wight). It will incorporate match reports/forums/general articles of interest in the area.
Anyway will be looking...
Of course!
And that is exactly how I felt your team played at St. Mary's, but add in time wasting. ;-)
At the end of the day, we love and defend our own, nothing wrong with that.
I think, as a Saints fan it is easy to accept that NA says things without thinking sometimes, and has given you guys a bit of entertainment. The whole "keeping up" rubbish for example.
A lot of it is media looking for a story though, I have it on good authority that NA and Poyet are friends off...
We were in the Premier League when he was a player remember this is born out of first hand experience. I think he does have that reputation with a lot of his opposition fans from that era!
It's just the way he conducted himself as a player. Sorry. If I wanted to cause a row here, I would suggest that his attitude was reflected in the way your team played at St. Mary's this season, but I don't, so I won't. ;-)
I liked Zola, Vialli etc. too!
Anyway, if I havent' achieved anything...
He is a top bloke if he is on your side maybe. I don't doubt that.
But as a player, he was whiny, a niggly fouler, an imaginary card waver and a diver. A very unsportsmanlike player.
I don't however knock you guys for loving him, the job he has done with you is fantastic, your biggest struggle...
Alright dude!
Not only am I arrogant, it is unlikely you will find anyone more arrogant than me. I am the best at arrogance.
You'll freefall once Gus buggers off.......
:rave:
