Yes - a draw against Villa means we retain our two point advantage. And a draw against Palace will be an excellent result given their current form. I'd be VERY happy with two points from those two fixtures.
The two teams I've most admired this season (ie, been sh1tting myself every time they got the ball) were Bournemouth and Forest. They both attack with such pace. So - if we get through tomorrow - I think I'd prefer Citeh in the semis.
Came across this article in the New York Times today (hopefully not behind a paywall) - it's not particularly reassuring....

Except Ipswich had the highest net spend in the EPL (after us) last summer - £109m....and Southampton spent over £100m. I think the problem for promoted clubs now is that there's a core of at least 15 Premier League clubs who have built up their squads over the past 5 or 10 years, and the...
Thanks for the heads up ref Libero - Jonathan Wilson and John Brewin are two of my favourite writers/podcasters (although I find Rory Smith slightly annoying!)
Like you, I do the Schadenfreude bit - I've become slightly addicted to "Talking City", which is rather under-stated and reflective...
I guess the reasons for the specified criteria in this instance are that these are the areas which the FAB is either losing (ie, because incumbents with those criteria are stepping down), or have been identified as needing more representation (possibly the reason the Family Stand is included as...
I heard Bart on the official podcast a few weeks ago - an interesting episode. He (or the stats guys behind the scenes) obviously put a lot of work into predicting which way the kicker will go. Unfortunately it's not easy! Penalty takers at Premier League level tend to be VERY good.
Yes - but in our case we also aim to make very significant profits from player trading (in a way that the "Big 6", etc, don't need to). The Chelsea model is similar, but on a much bigger scale, and I think the distinction is that we actually seem to care about the players we sign...
Per the BBC article: "The accounting model makes some sense as the long contracts and amortisation - spreading the cost of a transfer over an extended period - have enabled Chelsea to get players like Caicedo on comparatively 'lower' £180,000-a-week wages, despite him costing a British transfer...
Absolutely - the Conference League offers some potentially fascinating trips to various outposts of European football. Plus (trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but failing miserably), I checked on the locations of the European finals next season, and the Conference final is in Leipzig...
With a season ticket in the North you get to watch the best league in the world for around £30 a match.
The quality of the football we’re able to see now is amazing….ok, there are the occasional “duds” (Everton comes immediately to mind), but most home games this season have been exceptionally...
Palace have been on a great run, and I am slightly worried about them catching us. However, since they beat us (TWELVE games ago) they have made up precisely ONE point on us [we were on 24 pts, they were on 16 pts after that defeat....we are now on 46 pts, they're on 39].
Opta gives us a 76%...
