[Albion] Leandro Trossard SIGNS ON A FOUR-YEAR DEAL

A little surprised no one has spotted this nugget in Barry Glendenning's article (https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jan/04/football-transfer-rumours-newcastle-chelsea-arsenal-southampton) Newcastle have also been linked with Real Madrid full-back Ferland Mendy and Brighton winger...

[Politics] Is Baltimore really a crime and rodent infested area?

I live and work in New York, with regular travel to Baltimore. Yes as a city it has its bad spots, but it no way did it deserve to be used to target Elijah Cummings. I really like Baltimore, with its distinctive architecture. You should understand that it's a city with a large African American...

[Albion] A few observations post Cardiff...

Wise words indeed. I would say that these are natural reactions. We’ve slumped in form, and people are grasping for reasons to a) explain and b) resolve this. Hence we see blame directed towards most obvious candidates and the sudden recommendations of Allardyce for manager and Gyokeres up...

[Albion] Bar in New York showing Swansea game

Amazing. I moved to New York last year and had no idea about this place. Hopefully I'll be able to make it.

Albion knock back Newcastle bid for winger

    Absolutely the best. Sensational player.

    Solly March

It's not mentioned on here often, but I'm pretty sure Solly said a while back he eventually wants to play in central midfield. I actually think the number ten Baldock role would be great for him. He carries the ball well, wins a surprising number of headers and has Baldock's workrate. Could even...

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers *** Official Match Thread ***

I politely disagree. Ince would come on. Or Jake. Or we'd change to 442. I really don't see a situation where Holla is coming on. And I really hope I'm not proved wrong on this.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers *** Official Match Thread ***

Completely agree. Is Holla going to play? No Is he going to improve by sitting on the bench? No Does his future lie at the Albion? No Even if Tilley, Harper, Ward or whoever don't come on, they'd still likely gain from the experience. And I wager they'd bring more to the team if needed.

    Kayak substitution

I agree, our right hand side was bizarre at times today. I also think Stephens' positioning was a contributing factor to not getting the most out of the formation. If you're playing 3 in the middle, you really want Kayal and Stephens bursting into the box for shots and to get on the end of...

Do you think the club have any players lined up for the January transfer window opening?

They'll have em lined up. But will we see signings by this time next week? I'd just say that Chris Hughton's default 'we'll try but it's hard' didn't fill me with confidence. Here's hoping its just the usual answer and it won't be a painful month - we could really use a couple of reinforcements...

    [Albion] Goldson

Agree. Manu could be very VERY good if he adds just a little composure, nous and experience to his game. Raw attributes? Has them in bundles. Just my opinion like (And Goldson sure was superb, so nice having a back two with pace)

    Team For Ipswich ?

Agree. If anything it'll show Murphy that he actually has competition for his place- he's currently playing well below what he's capable of. I'm dreaming of a surprise Lua Lua recall. Not gonna happen I know.

    Holla for Rosenior

Agree. But we were losing out in midfield, and you wonder if just putting another striker on would have been even more meaningless than Holla on. I wonder if we should have set up differently from the start. I'm not convinced that Ince and Crofts can play a 442, and Holla's set pieces were far...
