He may well go to a lower Prem team but there would probably be a relegation clause in any new contract, so he might end up not much better off and still in the Championship.
He was an uncompromising defender and never took any prisoners.
But was never dirty (well not often) or aggressive.
Great guy & us oldies will always remember him for being an absolute rock in defence. RIP Roy.
I was there that day and can honestly state that it was THE most important game in our history.
Don't think there would be a BHAFC today if we'd lost.
Remember thinking that Hereford were sure to score when Ormorod pulled off that amazing save.
And the utter jubilation at the end reduced me to...
They're both fantastic so too close to call for me.
And just when I think I've got over Vicente's time here, you go and show that wonderful montage again and I start blubbing!!
Barry Rees was a fabulous player. It was such devastating news to hear that he'd been killed in a car accident.
Don't think any of us that remember seeing him play will ever forget him.
Thought I'd have a run out to my local library today so put on my best outfit and off I went.

Strangely enough, some bloke next...
Remember that season fondly.
First time I'd ever gone on the pitch for the promotion celebrations. Sat on my Dad's shoulders and watched all the players throw their shirts into the crowd.
Didn't get one, unfortunately.
I absolutely love that interview!
What better sight is there than watching our fantastic little magician strutt his stuff around the Amex pitch. And his cheeky smile just makes me want to smile too.
Long may it continue.
