To be honest it's been like this most of the time we have been in this Division. If teams turn up and park the bus/play a low block (or whatever the current catchphrase is for this style of play), 99 times out of 100 we haven't got a fecking clue.
No matter who is on the pitch or on the subs...
Was watching it in the pub after walking football. Plymouth defence was terrible. Every time Burnley attacked you thought they'd score. Was as though the defenders had never played together before.
Came off over a year ago. Haven't missed it. Did go on Threads instead but hardly ever use it.
I know what @Lady Whistledown means about all the tedious responses from big 6 followers or the complete d!cks who just bang on about whichever of our players happens to be a compatriot of theirs. I...
True, but I do wonder how Hyppia would have fared if - as I presume was the plan - he'd had a good 2nd in command supporting him. It was how he worked in wherever he was before (Germany?) and iirr Sammy Lee was supposed to be that person but he did the dirty on us and went to Saints.
Agree with that but I like the fact that he's got the confidence to try things like that. I agree he needs to be pragmatic in those situations but I wouldn't want to train that attitude out of him completely.
My first proper job after Uni was in Dept of Transport in London, in Offices in Southwark St SE1. The Friday lunchtime drinks session was a regular thing and I remember all the pubs in the area heaving.
There were also some private clubs where you could continue drinking all afternoon after...
No, but would think about one of those Hybrids you plug in, though. I do too many long journeys and don't want to have to fret about where to charge the damned thing up when I'm x00 miles from home.
Also, why are EVs so UGLY?? Classic example is the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (although I gather it's...
I have no problem with the high line tactic as long as:-
1) We also do the pressing further upfield to stop the balls in behind the defence
2) The defenders know what they should be doing (Ferdi was out of step yesterday) and
3) We are flexible enough to change during a game if/when it's not...
I was in the home crowd too that day (as I thought it was safer after 1 or 2 previous experiences at The Den - pretty sure it wasn't the new one) and did exactly the same thing 🙂.
