I think I am less concerned that we have no money to pay on signing new players for a fee than that we appear to have no money for free transfers. If even a small proportion of BZ's fee plus his saved wages were available we should be able to fund 4 or 5 players including 1 or 2 who should be...

If the money from recent sales was meant to balance the books it clearly hasn't worked. Similar situation at Leeds who's Premiership status is all that's keeping the wolves at bay (for now) . Fear that the Latics will go to the wall and we will open the season with a free day:glare:

hmm tricky problem needs careful consideration might just ponder on it 'til August by which time issues like proximity to kick off time and how much extra time is to be played may well influence any decision. Long summer innit?!:shootself
