[Politics] Why isn't there a 'Straight Pride'?

I quite agree that it fizzled out - those were the words I used. Yes latterly the Brighton Carnival was organised by the Lions but it had taken place for decades & wasn’t always organised by that group. In its heyday it was a major event although not commanding international singers, & it was...

[Politics] Why isn't there a 'Straight Pride'?

There used to be “straight pride”. It was called Brighton Carnival. It was put on by a local voluntary group & raised money for local charities. Sadly it fizzled out due to lack of public, corporate, & civic support. That support now seems to be far more forthcoming when its linked to people’s...

[Albion] Meyer to sign for Palace

Rodwell an extremely talented player. Linked with everyone but ends up at Sunderland as those that know steer clear. He could have been brilliant & consolidated them in the Premier league. As it happens he doesn’t play in their Championship relegation team . Was he injured? Couldn’t be...

[Albion] Change to away ticket sales process [Club update - post #140]

Mr Barber will also say that they have considered all the suggestions put forward on this thread - some of which are very good. It would be fascinating to hear from him of any fan feedback that has resulted in him changing a decision he has previously implemented. We need to realise that he...

[Albion] Meyer to sign for Palace

An interesting move which could be brilliant. He may mature , become an indispensable layer (he has the talent) & they sell him for a fortune after 2 years. However it could be the opposite. He maintains his terrible attitude. He has numerous injuries, their is no hunger & Palace struggle. They...

[Albion] Change to away ticket sales process [Club update - post #140]

We could write to Mr Barber explaining how the situation could be improved for us fans. He will write back very quickly with a very fulsome explanation of why he has taken the stance he has & that he won’t be changing it. This is his version of excellent customer service. It will be the same no...

[Albion] Paul Barber: Above and beyond.

Back to Paul Barber Absolutely excellent at responding very quickly to email which is one aspect of quality service. However my experience is he doesn’t listen & is completely lacking in flexibility. He will repeat over & again whatever stance he has has decided. I also found him to be very...

    Friendly v Norwich

You need the signings in as early as possible that get the team playing together otherwise what is the point on going to Austria, playing pre season friendlies. With our final month of the season we can't give up on the first month

    1901 Club cost cutting

Unfortunately the poor standard of service is not confined to the 1901 club. In the West Stand Lower it has been poor all season. I loaded my season ticket with £100 on two occasions. After the first couple of months I put the second amount on the card as I believed th eearly problems were...

    Leicester Pay on the Gate

I've left it too late to get to the Amex to pick up a ticket for Saturday. Does anyone know if it is pay on the gate?

    Portugal

Off to Albufeira this afternoon. Cant wait. Strange that the club has posted so little information on the games though. How are others getting from Albufeira to Olhanese?

Constructive thoughts on the first match day experience

The stadium will be excellent but sadly the club has a lot to learn about customer service. I know that this was a ramp up event but surely the idea was to test the thing not to train the staff on the day. My day started with a visit to the Queens Rd shop to get a paper ticket as my season...

Virgin Media, good, bad or indifferent ?

I tried to sign up with them a couple of years ago & they were absolutely hopeless. In fact they were so bad I cancelled before I started. Lots of helpful people but useless organisation. Beware

    Seat For Life (50 years)

Sadly this is why we have to attend the Amex to get our season tickets. We will have to watch a "timeshare" like presentation to try & get us to part with £495 for not very much. Sorry to be cynical but this is sadly how the club will become as we move into the new commercial era.
