Dear all Not sure how, but amazingly £50,000 (half the target) has been raised in approximately 2 weeks. This is incredible, and demonstrates in difficult times, people's generosity and the power and good through social media. Above all it gives hope, so thanks to everybody who has liked...

If you cannot afford a financial contribution, please spend a little time to retweet or like on Facebook. Many thanks for reading this, and for...

Dear NSC A colleague, and close friend of mine who has recently had a baby, has also had to contend with the news her partner (Charley) has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. After 6 bouts of chemotherapy Charley's internal organs are in a precarious state, and the...

Chelsea v Bradford - most astonishing FA Cup result EVER ?

Also the uefa cup as a prize doesn't really inspire many of the top clubs anymore. Can't see why the uefa cup is incorporated into the champions league, in a similar fashion to how the inter toto used to operate. Yes it would increase the qualifying rounds, but the first group stages of the...

Chelsea v Bradford - most astonishing FA Cup result EVER ?

Agree with a lot of this... It does summarise the difference, again!, between clubs and fans. Bradford, Middlesbrough, west brom fans couldn't be happier tonight, and relishing the round 5 draw. Chelsea , Tottenham, Man City fans are probably dreading work Monday.

The establishment and historic child sex abuse

2 very important witnesses to all these allegations have both died in the last fortnight!! Could be a coincidence, but I'm sure both coroners reports will have to be thoroughly scrutinised by independent witnesses. Just saying!!

Chelsea v Bradford - most astonishing FA Cup result EVER ?

Bradfords result, comeback and overall performance today looked brilliant on motd. But Chelsea did make 9 changes from their side last week. And many of the Chelsea players selected today are mercenaries who don't particularly value the fa cup until their side reaches a final. In addition...

The establishment and historic child sex abuse

I can't help feeling it's not co-incidental that the enquiry into the press, and the prosecution of Murdoch's chief staff has now drawn to its inevitable conclusion. Sensitive information can be used in a variety of ways to compromise security, and ultimately gain financial advantage. Jimmy...

    Winning

I think my difficulties with this issue began with Jose mourinhio's appalling behaviour, during his first period at Chelsea, particularly after being eliminated from the late stages of the champions league. And I recognise his behaviour is not alone, (Barton, Suarez, etc). But last nights...

Watching dean cox score against Rotherham in the league one play off final, reminds me off a similar event in Cardiff in 2004. The sun shone, the millennium stadium reverberated to ' stand up if you want falmer!', and Leon Knight, knight, knight!!! A fantastic weekend, can't believe 10 years...
