Just had this sent through to the Splash FM studio...
ALBION LEGENDS CHARITY GAME
ONE GOOD TURN DESERVES ANOTHER
Back in July Bob Laundon, the manager of Seaford Town Football Club, was looking forward to becoming a grandfather for the first time. His daughter Cally was due to give...
It has just struck me that the World Cup is now not far away at all. With this in mind I am now worrying about the location of this World Cup in terms of match times for us here in the UK.
Obviously many of us have to work, and so I'm wondering (depending on kick off times) how we are going to...
Is anyone on here a member of a gym in Sussex pref Brighton or Worthing. If so which one?
I'm looking to sign up to one for the first time EVER, and am a little daunted by the prospect. But being a fairly young lad I have decided now is good time to get fit, before it's too late.
Any help...
It was right at the end of the game, and he was standing right near the goal. Someone obviously said something pretty bad because I thought he was going to jump into the crowd to get at someone! In the end he had to be held back by another steward. Does anyone know what was said or what happened?
Did anyone read the article in the Argus this week about Whitehawk FC?
Very interesting article about money being pumped into the club to get decent players and the potential of an upgrade on their current ground. All with a view to becoming 'Brighton's second biggest team'.
Apparantly...
So Slade has been given the job on a two year contract, and we are in League 1 for another year after a truly great escape.
I'm just wondering if the season ticket renewal details will be announced very shortly, maybe even tomorrow?
How does everyone reckon they will be priced? Given that we...
Please do the right thing, and appoint Slade as manager of this football club.
As supporters we don't want to have to put up with another ridiculous and needless managerial appointment over the summer. I can only hope you have learned your lessons from last time around.
We know who the man is...
Well?
It's a simple yes or no (with poll). Drop the bravado and give an honest answer.
Personally I am worried about it, but then I worry about EVERYTHING.
Well?
Anyone have a pre-match ritual lined up? Will it be different for this, a match of HUGE importance?
My day will start with a full ENGLISH at a greasy spoon, washed down with some fine ALE in one of the city's beautiful public houses! :drink:
I think I'm going OTT on this one to settle...
I don't want to use the Costa Express, but I might have to if there are any spaces left/or a second coach.
I'd rather go up by train, and drink lots etc. But I don't think I can afford to go by train, it seems very expensive.
So can anyone tell me the following...
a)How much is the Costa...
Anyone having a flutter on this? I'm looking forward to it :)
I've backed two horses so far. Forest Leaves is a big outsider, but worth an each-way shot, as can last the long distance. I've also got Rare Bob on-the-nose.
I shall be having a very nice bank holiday Monday if Forest Leaves ROMPS...
Well, at least I think that's what happened...
I think there was a power surge, or something tripped in our house because certain things just turned themselves off, including the PC I'm using right now.
But the telly didn't turn off. Instead the picture just went and I ended up with a black...
Anyone got any?
I've done a Champions League accumulator. Which goes something like this...
Man U to beat Porto
Arsenal to draw at Villareal
Barcelona to beat Bayern
Chelsea to beat Liverpool
Think the odds of this are around 18/1 at Corals.
Just rung my mate to arrange our travel for MK Dons on Saturday.
I was hoping to pop down to the travel shop at the bottom of St. James Street in the next few days, and get a cheap deal using only Southern trains.
So my journey would go something like this...
BRIGHTON -- CLAPHAM -- MILTON...
You can't beat it!
I went to watch some of my mates in a cup final last night at Shoreham. It's only a small little ground on Middle Road, with about 20/30 odd seats and the rest standing. But it reminded me how much fun grass roots football can be.
£3 entry with decent music being played long...
I came past Southwick's ground on the train home from work yesterday, and I'm sure I saw a men's team wearing our home kit from last season.
I've seen our ladies team play there in the past when I've come past on the train. But this is really bugging me now! Was it the REMF squad getting a bit...
Despite the defeat at Orient on Saturday, I am starting to feel a lot more upbeat about our chances of survival.
Don't get me wrong, the final whistle at Brisbane Road was a head in hands moment, but it is VERY early days under our new manager.
I fully support and believe in Russell Slade, and I...
