Personally think you’ve nailed it in every comment tonight. He’s got history. Agent and money has turned him it seems and this, coupled with misdemeanours means we’re better getting rid.

Must is a strong word. I simply can’t imagine Bloom saying you MUST bring academy players in to the first team this season. Rather, I think Potter and Ashworth have said ‘actually Tony, there’s some real talent in the youth, so if you wanna get some big earners off the wage bill feel free to do...
He’s also got a great attitude it seems.
Ali J will get a chance now- we’ve seen how ruthless Potter can be now, so it’s up to him to show us something.

Exactly. And learning from the likes of Murray everyday, not to mention being on the same pitch as the likes of Aguero. Very few young players are simply ‘ready’, they learn, but they can only do that if they’re given a go.

Nor does a scenario of Ryan and Button injured. Or Stephens and Propper. Or even Duffy and Dunk still.
We will be okay.

Potter really rates Connolly and Alzate. No way he’d be talking them up like this and taking these kind of risks. Every chance he gets he mentions their progress. Interesting that he sees Alzate as a forward considering his one appearance so far was a wing back- but you could see from that...
My feeling is...
Strike 1-
Andone and agent hear of interest from Galatasary and demand more playing time, Potter says Andone will have as much of a chance as anyone else, Andone reacts badly.
Strike 2-
Potter challenges Andone on his disciplinary record post Saints, rather than apologise...
People are over reacting about this.
We play ONE up front. We have 3 players who can do this. Plus, i'm sure, Potter has a couple of players in mind who could do it if needs must.
Plus, if the rest comes to the worst, Bojan or even Cashman can go on the bench for a fixture or two.
Love this. Fair play Potter- however we do this season the way he’s picked up morale both in terms of players and fans has been bloody miraculous!

I rate Mings, he’s a good guy too and hard to work as hard as anyone for recognition. But, given our start, and a reminder to all that he’s way more than an ‘old school defender’ pretty surprised Lewis didn’t get the nod ahead of him.

This whole 'Johnson is far right' thing is all a bit of a smokescreen, but easily memeable.
The reality is that Johnson thinks this is the best way of him winning a GE. Brexit doesn't matter to him either way, he's purely a careerist.
He knows that if we leave with no...
