    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

This bit caught my eye - “he uses digressions, piled high with false claims, as a means to avoid proper scrutiny”. Reminds me of certain NSC posters! 😂 The article also reminded me of comic geniuses who could do ”the weave” with rambling stores that come back to the start - Dave Allen, Billy...

[Misc] Moon Landing, are YOU are conspiracy theorist?

Ah, me too! Well, that explains the high number of conspiracy theorists. :ROFLMAO:

[Misc] Have you put the heating on yet? (2024/25 edition)

It’s been lovely in the real west today, but I’ll admit to tweaking the thermostat this morning. 😎

    [News] First Class Stamp.

Does anyone else still send actual birthday cards? It’s nice to receive them, but I’ve been late a couple of times recently and resorted to 1st class stamps.

    Very much so!

    [Politics] Donald Trump, US President

Yeah, there are a number of posters that make interesting contributions on football threads, but are simply trolls on political threads. I’d rather not completely ignore them, but I’d never respond to them.

On a side point, Trump has really aged since then, hasn’t he? He looks drained now.

[NSC] NSC - what it has become, and how can it be made better

I quite like the idea of limiting posts per user per day, but I don't think that would work well for official match threads. Personally, I don't have any issues. I spend most of my time reading it rather than posting. I don't feel the need to repeat what others have said - I just give them a...

    [Misc] Twitter/X

I don’t think you can deactivate Twitter from the app, only your own account. I’ll try to shut it down from my browser, that’ll show Musk.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

He was actually questioning the comment about “taking away the old age pensioners free bus passes”. I’ve certainly not heard anything about that.

    [Misc] Electric Cars

We've used ZapMap in the past, but we don't go out of home range very often. But we've recently moved to Octopus and set up with Electroverse, as others have mentioned. At the moment, though, we're charging off free sunlight.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

Yep, and we got our solar panels installed after years of procrastination. Anyone else feeling pressure to act like an adult now? 🤓

    [Politics] Labour Party meltdown incoming.......

Have they noticed that several of our local MPs were sworn in using FOREIGN language? Well, Cornish, actually. And they had to do it in English first.

[Technology] Advice sought, purchasing and installing solar panels

Well, we seem to be generating this morning, despite the gloomy, wet weather! The new system is 14 panels plus a 13kwh GivEnergy battery. We also have the extra box required to keep the house fully powered in the event of power cuts - we previously assumed all systems would keep running, but...

[Technology] Advice sought, purchasing and installing solar panels

Thought I’d bounce this thread, as it’s been dormant for exactly two years… We’ve been having a solar and battery system installed over the last couple of days, and the guys are just in the commissioning process. Looking forward to seeing how well it all works. Any other recent solar newbies?
