Sorry if this has been mentioned on here before but apparently this fella is a diehard Albion fan and wants England to host the 2030 World Cup... two things in his favour I suppose but he's still a dyed-in-the-wool FIFA man...
Spot on - he's had such limited game time to really make his mark on the team yet his detractors belittle his talent and moan about his (highly debatable) lack of impact as if he was starting every week...
The pro and anti-Paddy camps seem firmly entrenched in their opinions but as a fan, I'm still optimistic that there are golden moments to come that will earn him a place in Albion folklore... when these occur, imagine the Paddy-bashers will then either keep their heads down or swear it was a...
I've raised the subject of Paddy with many's a knowledgable, seasoned observer of the game and the response is always along similar lines... he's a class player - creative, intelligent, reads the game well, can pass with guile, seeing passes that others don't see etc... his weakness is probably...
Despite very limited time on the pitch, Paddy's contributions were positive and he was instrumental in the equaliser... the diehard 'Paddy is a waste of space' brigade will trot out their usual assessment no matter what he does
Fulham fans I know think the world of him and can't believe they let him go... also widely regarded as a thoroughly sound and decent fella. Lets hope he keeps up the standard of yesterday... highly impressed by what I saw in highlights
Have had one of those in the last year (at the Dorset in Brighton of all places) and it did indeed live up to the 'Sussex nectar' myth - prob is, the vast majority of other times I've had it (ie. when its the only ale on offer) its been ordinary at best and quite rank at worst
Oh dear, sorry for unleashing this... still, as a straw poll, seems that roughly three quarters of discerning NSC ale-heads seem to agree with the original point... can't wait to get to Basketmakers later for a fine assortment of Fullers/Gales ales and deffo no Harveys! :)
Just as the Harveys devotees won't have their favourite ale described as 'over-rated', think that to describe London Pride as 'bland' is wide of the mark... heard respected ale expert Jane Peyton on Radio 4 a while back talking of how she'd spent a few years in the States and really missed...
Good lively exhange of opinions on the profoundly important topic of quality ale - one of life's great pleasures!
Anyway, reckon there's one thing that there will be widespread agreement on here - Shepherd Neame beer is pretty vile stuff... if I ever see their name on a pub, I give it a VERY...
A while back in my local, I got chatting with a local councillor when he began enthusing about the wonders of Harveys as he proudly supped on a pint of the aforementioned local brew. I casually commented that I knew it was verging on sacrilege in these parts, but I personally felt that London...
Couldn't believe Ince wasn't in the starting line-up when we were in dire need of his strength and grit and then of course we watched the sorry mess unfurl... everyone I've spoken to thought Paddy was quality when he came on (he was putting in class passes and free kicks so bit perplexed that...
It's a novelty to see the Albion on proper telly and cheer them on in your local so annoying that on rare occasion we're on Sky, it tends to be a home game... re. Harveys, feels like you're almost treated like a traitor to Sussex if you don't rate it... admittedly, when its good its lush but for...
I've never been a knee-jerk "sack the manager!"-type person but that's the way I'm definitely feeling in a really profound way... always good to embrace new sensations in this life - thanks Sami!
Apparently he was overheard in a bar chatting in Finnish to some fellow-countrymen, bemoaning what a shit squad he has to work with...classic example of a bad workman blaming his tools...
Cue various comments about the biggest tools in the current team...
