The new rates for the National Minimum Wage (NMW) come into force on 1 October 2008. The adult rate will increase to £5.73, with the rate for 18 to 21-year-olds increasing to £4.77, and the 16 to 17-year-old rate rising to £3.53. Just thought you'd like to know.
