That was news to me, but from a quick search on the googly thing, I see that with 1-2m variation on length / width of some PL pitches you are spot on that it is standard size.

This is my concern. Recently the initial team selection has lacked consideration of the opponent's style or the pitch size (or both). Yesterday we had a good size pitch to use and we started with a relatively slow midfield and forward line and they didn't / couldn't use the space well enough...
It’s not quite that bad as the League Cup started in 1960, so it is a record of one QF every 60 years which we are trying to maintain.

If it means planet Earth then that will be whenever the Sun goes pop or sooner if some other planetary-scale impact occurs.
As for the end of human civilisation, I give it 1000 years tops, or sooner if Barber increases charges for travel to the stadium.
Turning the heating on in September (before you really need it) is usually the cause.
I don’t know how to fix it though.
