My favourite thing about S******n's performance tonight was that the trains down from London Bridge were f***ed too. So i'd already missed the first 30mins of the game thanks to them before the post-game shambles.
Yeah but even if you start with El-Abd there's nothing to stop you moving him out to full back and bringing Dunk on in his place if the need arises - so you're still covered. Think it's difficult to argue for El-Abd not starting. As Gus has said before - he's the best defender at the club.
One where Bridcutt didn't make a decisive interception or tackle every time Leicester strung a move together? :)
It's funny how everyone see's these things differently but I honestly think he's the best ball-winner I've ever seen play for us.
You're wrong. Had CMS not pulled up his run short he literally couldn't have missed it. It was a great and unselfish ball. Not saying it's CMSs fault - just an unfortunate miscommunication.
I actually thought they played some decent passing football in patches and were in it up until we scored - they did look like they ran out of ideas after going behind but I'd definitely say I've seen worse, Portsmouth, Watford and Notts Forest to name a few. Would be surprised to see them go down.
...only for a friend to point out that this is FA Cup weekend, so unless Crawley can pull off a shock in the Fourth Round the game's going to be rearranged.
Balls.
Watch out for that one.
Why do motorists think they have a divine right to park their cars on a given street? You don't own the street, it's common land. I pay my taxes too and if there's a match on nearby and I want to park there I've got just as much right as you even if it is outside your house. If you want a...
I don't think a single one of his corners beat the first man either. It was like having Dean Cox back again. Can't understand why no-one else stepped up to take them - isn't Harley supposed to be decent at set-pieces?
Thought that might raise an eyebrow or two but I thought he did quite well in a really difficult role (i.e. running the whole left-flank on his own with little or no support). Was solid at the back and even if he didn't create anything he didn't waste possession with hopeless long balls and...
Yeah I agree that we could have been 4-0 down and I think it's more a mark of Watford's poor quality up front than our defence that we weren't.
In terms of the game being even - they definitely had more chances but we had far more possession for most of the second half despite giving the ball...
Agree that those songs are all piss poor. Your criticism is spot on. I know for a fact though that despite what some on here will jump to assume, they weren't all being started by the same group of people.
The people who like to start songs and sing the loudest will gather at the back of the...
Looking really hard for a positive, the best i can come up with is that I would have thought we'd get completely stuffed playing like that in this division, and in actual fact it was a fairly even game.
The quality of football has been lower than I expected in this division so far and I'd add...
Totally agree. Hate to bring a trace of pessimism in here but I just hope this league can stay this open in the long-term - looks to me like through the massive increase in parachute payments the Premiershite suits are conspiring to bring it into line with the predictable, boring and unequal top...
Kazenga ineffectual but Buckley and Noone both very impressive when they came on. However, I think if it had been one of the other two that started and KLL that came on at half time it might well have been the other way round. Once KLL came off they seemed to lose a bit of focus where they had...
