It was me who spoke to the steward and copper at half time
like you Zeitgeist and n1 Seagull, I was absolutely appalled by the guy who was spouting the racist stuff...he was in the row in front of me and a few seats to my left. I looked down at the steward and copper who clearly knew who it was...
respect please
I don't need to go on a business trip for that as I am reasonably senior anyway, and, furthermore, I get on very well with her and have been on numerous bizzo trips in the last couple of years without incident !
Fatboy - no Brews over there but I've made up for that tonight a...
I went to Bucharest with my boss on Sunday for a quick business trip ( came back last night ). As we passed through arrivals, there was a girl ( probably from the Tourist Authority although she did have an incredibly short skirt on ) handing out a booklet entitled "Bucharest, Cream of the Crop"...
Offside methinks
Saw it on the Championship on Sunday and thought it was offside. My daughter was in J block with Danny Cullip Lookalike and, when the goal had gone in, she phoned me in the North Stand to say the guy was clearly offside.
I have not seen the goals yet but I will wager - big time - that Furlong was clearly offsdie when he received his pass and there was a QPR player offisde bang in the middle of the goal area in the lead up to the winning goal. We all saw it...why didn't he?
I don't mind losing but not in these...
I personally couldn't give a toss if fox hunting is banned and, to be frank, if I never again see any of those ridiculous people on tv ,dressed up with black top hats, stupid bright red jackets blowing horns and sipping sherry/port/or whatever they drink before a hunt starts, then bothered...
If people are making stupid comments about sacking McGhee etc, why don't you turn round and tell them to shut the f**k up. It has worked for me in the past. Until you show them up, they will continue.
I work for the Alliance & Leicester bank in Leicester and tomorrow morning between they are selling tickets for the corporate stand for 5 quid. This has happened on occasions before and is indicative of expectations of a poxy crowd ( on Sky, Bank Holiday, early kick off ). I wish I had waited...
And I was there when we won 1-0
Marvellous scenes...pissed with rain if I remember and we had played 7 away games up to that point of the season and lost the lot. Robertson missed a penalty as well. Even though it is 25 years ago, I can recall that day with clarity.
Fatboy..let me know where you have the curry because...
I obviously have no interest in playing but I am travelling back to my second home on Sunday afternoon in preparation for Monday's game and I may look to join any evening mumble.
The quality of some of the goals on show.
Check out the Championship highlights at 10.30 am on ITV for Harper's goal against the Blades - as clinical a strike as the one he scored against us. Although given a lot of space yesterday, Hughes' strike for Coventry was instant, crisp and gave...
See my post from yesterday
I don't think he's that good....if memory correct, he is a little short arse who was in the pockets of Clarke Carlisle and Danny Shittu
After last night's debacle, the ref this Saturday is a certain Phil Joslin.
If my memory serves me correctly, he did the QPR league game or the LDV game away last season when Leon was getting battered senseless ( and booked for getting battered in the goalmouth off the ball ). He completely...
That picture of the pub you went to in Reading...I can't make out the name as it's covered by foliage. What's it called and is it near the town centre?
I know there have been loads of various threads on this subject, but I still haven't seen anyone naming pubs in Reading that Albion fans will be allowed to enter with a degree of safety etc.
I know the Boardwalk is closed ( great shame ) but can someone advise on prospective venues please...
