I was stood behind Matt Upson in the queue in Costa coffee at pease pottage services, really nice bloke, I paid for his coffee !

I also sat chatting to Jenson Button at Gatwick airport once and on another flight back from a sking trip in the Alps sat in front of Jason Statham

Bowling to me at the County Ground, at a corporate/charity 7-a-side cricket event a few years back, was a vaguely familiar face. It was only when his team mates called him "Kezza" a few times that I realised it was the Ginger Prince himself.

Liam Rosenior did the end of year motivational speech at our kids school awards.

Seeing non Albion stuff has been added …. an absolutely slaughtered Jon Sleightholme down West Street at 3am. When he was an England rugby union winger.

My son worked briefly at the Tesco fuel station near BHASVIC, customers included Welbeck and Sanchez.

My third time of writing this one on NSC - Calderon and Vicente riding Boris Bikes down Piccadilly one lunchtime. They stopped at the lights as I crossed from St James's Street managed a quick Las gaviotas to which Calde smiled and waved whilst a more bemused Vicente looked at me as they pedaled off towards Leicester Sq.

Years ago two Kerry’s at a family party, we played football in the back garden and my then 9 year old son nutmeged him a number of times causing great hilarity. I had no idea who Kerry was at the time as I didn’t follow Brighton then.

I still don't think he should have been let go. Fastest player we ever had.

I saw Vincente and his wife walking down North Road whilst on my way to work once. I think that's about it. Oh, thingy Chicksen and his girlfriend in Churchill Square one Sunday.

Ive met quite a few Brighton players over the years only in brighton though. The most unexpected was Norman Gaul in the Brighton Polythechnic students union office where I worked at Grand Parade, when after he had retired from football he had become a rep for a brewery which was supplying the art college basement bar, and Gloucester nightclub, which the student union ran. Billy McEwan was the manager of Courthope sunday league team where I played a few games. Played in summer kickabouts in Preston Park with Peter Osullivan, Eric Steele, and Peter Sayer when they were in their prime (cant imangine that happening today). And of course talking about Preston Park - Andy Rollings runs the cafe and ive chatted to him a few times.

Not really a strange place, but a bit of a weird coincidence. I live in London and had been down to the Withdean on a Saturday to see us lose to Sheffield United, thanks to the officiating of a certain Mr Phil Prosser.

I was going out that night with my London mates and I couldn't stop raging to them about it in the cab into town. We got out at Covent Garden and immediately bumped into Bobby Zamora. Needless to say, he agreed with me about Tosser's, sorry I mean Prosser's, performance...
Yes he was a :tosser: even in the RAF!
Was also my neighbour!
I served Neil Smillie in ASDA in Reading once. He said he had great memories of his time at the Albion, and the people there.
Played against Neil Smillie in Germany, when Gillingham were invited over to play an RAF team.

As previously mentioned on another thread.
Chatted to Sam Baldock at the recent U21 game v Wealdstone.

Not strange because of the location, but strange because of the thoughtful but idiotic comment from him:

My Dad knows Darren Freeman, bumped into him at Withdean on the concourse pre-game as he was injured. Standard chit-chat etc, then he asks my Dad if we need tickets for today's game! :ROFLMAO:

Three come to mind - He shot, he scored at the Sussex Cricket Ground when I was young (and got a picture with him); Mark McGee near the Lego at Toys 'R' Us when it was still on the Goldstone site; Gaeton Bong at Victoria railway station - he was I think on his way to see a London quack as he was out injured at the time. Have seen Muzza a number of times as he (until recently) lived near me. Also tended to see Tomasz Kuszczak and Casper Ankergren often using the Westdene shops (for fags mainly) and cafe.

Reminds me I met Darren too, in the Swan at Falmer when he was Whitehawk manager. I was reading a copy of a the football league paoer. On his way to the loo in the bar with the big fire, TV, and dartboard, he aked me if it was the non league paper, presumambly to read about Whitehawk. He was very polite and didnt offer me any tickets

When Vicente was playing for us, I dropped my car off at my local Garage and was chatting to the owner about how good Vicente was. The bloke stood next to us joined in the conversation about how the best players just seem to have so much more time than everyone else on the pitch. I thought I recognised the bloke but maybe because I'd just seen him around. When I picked the car up, the owner of the garage told me it was Danny Cullip who joined in our conversation

Also met Adam El Abd, Thomas Kuszczak and had a lovely chat with Sir Norman while we were both waiting to be picked up at that same garage.

Waved out, or been waved out when driving near home by Igor, Murray, Velts, Kayal and MacAlistair.
