That'll depend on what it shows. Let's leave things there for now.
What are you 'hoping' it will show?

Anyway, you can do your own analysis, and you'll probably find they'll tell you that the information is already publicly available, and is therefore exempt from FoI - because you already have access to it.

I submitted an FOI request to the Home Office yesterday for information on the scale of knife crime incidents and use of vehicles as a weapon over each of the past 5 years by geographical area. I would imagine the response will be along the lines of "we don't collect such data" or "it would involve a disproportionate cost to provide such data" but we'll see.

Or 20 police forces didn’t provide an answer.

I really hope you have a valid reason because having been on the end of specious fishing FOI requests before, it is a massive drain on resources.

Yes - that's partly one of the points I was getting at in my posts, although I didn't mention it directly. I have also had to spend hours/days on FoI requests - that we get a cursory 'thank you' for - but never hear anything about again. Even though it's often about stuff we're involved in, and so I know it was just fishing for something they were uncertain about.

If someone wants to ask for information they can! What.. why.. is irrelevant, better someone obtains information from a legitimate source than asking Twitter etc..

I see twitter is going mad about the ethnicity not being supplied. Some people are so dumb. It might be white, it might be Asian but anyone comparing someone driving into a group after a fight to what happened in Liverpool is a complete moron. One was immediately felt to be terrorism by the usuals while this is obviously different.

Ffs people are beyond help.

Indeed they can. But @Zebedee announced to us that they had submitted the FoI, so it's a fair question to ask what they were wanting the information for (why were they telling us if they didn't want us to think about it?) And then I helped them by providing the information they were requesting anyway - which they could have found for themselves in a few minutes. ONS is pretty legitimate.

FoI is not there to make organisations do extra work (like analysis of data) if they haven't already done it.

Genuine question …. is @Zebedee on the unofficial nsc blacklist of alleged closet racists or anti-Woke folk?

Naively I thought it was a fair OP, as in recent years there’ve been more reports of people deliberately using their cars as weapons against people on foot. In Birmingham Liam Jones was murdered on his e-bike by a driver he didn’t know for no good reason. A murder trial is pending on a guy who mowed down two e-bike riders in a Derbyshire country lane.

Just cnts. Race doesn’t come into it.

Dunno. He made a broad brush suggestion on the Liverpool car thread early doors that he never clarified. So I guess folk are drawing their own conclusions.

I’ve 3k threads on ignore, partly to swerve hate and strange people being spiteful. I missed that.

Thanks to @Bozza  . Suppose mods don’t have that luxury.
