That's a shame. There are probably 100 players in the Premier League who can smack a ball that hard. It's special goal, but fairly common.

Team Egypt has got voting there I reckon. It's a good goal but it's a variation on a theme. Mitoma's was jaw dropping and unique. Which 'expert' thought Marmoush twatting it was better than Mitoma's caress of the Gods?

I reckon in his prime Messi could have managed it.
Messi may be the best football player of all the time. He's certainly in the top few. He obviously has immense skills. I don't know whether plucking the ball out of the air over his shoulder at full pace was one of them? But he's never done what Mitoma did. And he's not played in the PL.

I thought Gomez scored the goal of the season. I think it hadn't have come in such a meaningless rubber it would have been up there.
It's a great team effort, but as for the goal itself, had he missed that, Jackson would have been up for the miss of the season.
