I can see an argument for tweaking the Europe tracker but won't lose any sleep over not changing it. There is also a view to leave it unchanged which helps with comparing seasons to season.

The club has three targets. To stay in the premier league, to consistently finish in the top 10, and push for a place in Europe.

Each to their own. However, for me, the basis of the tracker, and your three methods of presentation, reflect these ambitions very well.

So, I've had a go!

What I've done is put all the points against the teams over the last four years (our 'glory' years as you might say). Not that easy, as only 13 of the 19 other teams have stayed the same throughout. So, where teams have gone up and down, I've tried to align them as best I could based on position and the sorts of results we get against them. So, for instance, Burnley and Leicester are roughly replaceable with each other as we seem to struggle to beat them.

From this I've worked out the average points per season against the relevant team home and away.

I've then put the games in order as per the fixture list. I'll obviously re-order this when the new fixtures are out. Obviously the cumulative points total will only reflect the actual points for the current season, all the others will be out of kilter as we don't play the same teams in the same order.

It looks a little confusing, but the graph basically shows how this season compares to the other three and the four year average.

What do think? Do you think it adds much, if anything, to the main tracker? I'm not sure it does really - but it has some interest maybe?

It shows some consistent results against a few sides. I think a four season average is a little overkill. Just comparing to the previous season would be enough along with a +/- to 61 would give us an idea of where we are at
