31 for me also, first game was 1966
Since Freddie Goodwin, although Pat Saward era is better remembered. Jeez, thanks for making me feel older than I feel, @Harry Wilson's tackle ....you swine!

First match was 1971 (yeah I know, JCL) so 29 managerial appointments for me. Some I remember better than others from the early days! I was only four when I saw my first match so Pat Saward didn't make much of an impression on me.

Pre-saturation media coverage, you might never hear those earlier managers speak. Pat Saward was born in Ireland but moved here as a boy. Anyone remember - did he have an Irish accent?

Blimey I’m 26. That’s shat on any illusion I had left that I was a youngster on this site. Think it was 79 or 80 first game. Although the only real first memory is being beaten 0-2 by Spurs (Crooks + Archibald I think) at the Goldstone. This may have been Mullery or Bailey.
