Where I live I am surrounded by Spurs fans and another high profile failure would provide huge entertainment value. As for the impact on us, I think you could make a case for and against a Spurs win. I think we definitely want extra time, pens and some minor injuries.

Want Spurs to win but think Utd will (they always turn up in finals unlike Spurs).

Have to say I can't stand all-English Euro finals. Kind of defeats the whole joy of pitting clubs, countries, cultures against each other. Bores me rigid.
Not convinced I'll watch it TBF (and I've watched lots of other Europa games and ECL games this season which have all been great).

Chuck in the fact that in any other typical PL season, one (or even both) of these 'big six' nauses would have been relegated, it kind of grates they are contesting the second best trophy in Europe.

A tired, injured but victorious Spurs next Sunday, when I'm there for our final game, is about the best outcome really.
(Plus I'd quite like to see that lovely Europa trophy up close when paraded around.. bit of football history eh).

has to be Spurs to win for me, mainly because the entitled Utd Fans(Mark Goldbrige etc) will be a total joy to watch, and it will piss of the super entitled Arsenal Fans at the same time.
this , plus the fun of the summer transfers when ManU need to buy big, but no player will want to go to a basket case WITHOUT CL footy

Man U win for me, I want a Spurs side on the floor on Sunday, lets get our business done before we worry about other sides

Villa should have enough to deal with Man U regardless of results and they need a good result

I really dont want a Spurs side and fans in full party mode. That will be a real handful

To give a proper answer, one needs to look at the long and short term view and for both those aspects, it has to be a Spurs win.

Short-Term:

Spurs winning the Cup will hopefully see them party for a few days and having finally won something they should be more relaxed and not so focused on Sunday...Which will obviously be of a benefit to us:

Long-Term:

Man Utd clearly have some money issues, so them missing-out on some Champions League cash will only cause them more financial strife. That coupled with it being doubly difficult in attracting players if there is no European football on offer, could see to it that Man Utd remain average at best for the foreseeable future. This helps greatly by keeping them out of the way as we continue to challenge for European qualification. Plus Man Utd being rubbish gives me a warm glow.

If Spurs make it into the Champions League, they will...Well, they will still be Spurs.

Albion & England forever.

I really don't want either of them to win it for loads of different reasons. But as one them has to I will take a side and say United. Just to make sure the players and fans are miserable for our game on Sunday. That also does make United's ineptitude in the league even funnier as their entitled fan base get all humpy but have to be not too humpy as they sneak a trophy every season.

If Utd win tonight, then that's the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa all in the last 3-4 seasons... a period when most fans would agree they've been a total basketcase. I find that really hard to stomach. They have enough trophies – and a deeply unpleasant co-owner in Ratcliffe. Would like them to fail tonight.

i'm a spurs fan, so im not really the best person to ask, but Brighton really shouldnt be concerned about sunday's game - win or lose tonight, glorious victory or ignominious defeat, we are absolutely not doing anything other than losing on sunday.
you'll win, quite comfortably, dont worry.

Right, im off for another nervous poop. Today has already been the longest day ever

I can't decide what's in our best interest -

If Spurs win and they spend the night celebrating, might work in our favour as they won't be too bothered about the game on Sunday. On the other hand, their tails will be up and there will be a 'feel good' atmos at White Hart Lane as they woulda won their first trophy for ages.

If they lose, it will cap a truly miserable season and their confidence will be shot. Difficult to see how they would be up for the final league match of the season.
