Thats it. Ive nothing else to say.
I have 🤗

I had a meltdown after the match yesterday for several reasons not least because it was the end of weeks of intensity and hope so anti-climatic - and sincere apologies to all for lashing out on NSC after some piss-taking just after the match, it was just too triggering - the ‘morning after’ embarrassment is truly self-admonishing.

Palace rivalry has been a part of my conscience of what it means to be ‘Brighton’ since that penalty farce and bloody awful cup tie in 1976. Since then, I’ve sort of positioned Palace and us on fairly even footing when it comes to sucess and have even used them as a yardstick to test our own progression in the Premier League. The reality though is that I know many Palace fans, who like many of us, are just huge supporters of their local team. But while for me, it IS largely pantomime now and no longer vitriolic, it is still very much a part of my/our football culture and when they achieve something we have several times come so close to, well … it’s grating - especially when our route had tougher draws.

But it definitely isn’t all about Palace, not even mostly (so although it hurts still to say it, congrats to them for playing a focussed and disciplined final), for me it is about us and after weeks of believing we actually could get back into Europe next season after ‘that’ low point of the season against Forest - that ‘hope’ all but being blown out of the water after the result yesterday.

I’m looking forward to going to the Liverpool match - yes, I am still going to cheer the team on because a good performance tomorrow will be the best healing balm in this silly football lark that has us crying into our beers one minute and shouting from the roof tops the next (metaphorically of course )

Liverpool match will be like a friendly two teams trying to avoid injury.

Hope we haven't hit the beach just yet. We need one more point to, at the very least, finish above that bunch of rubber johnnies and salvage a little dignity in a season where they have done the double over us and beaten us in the race for silverware.

I disagree. Cup runs and Europe may be over but the Premier League season hasn’t finished.

We’ll be playing against the current best Club in the League for an eighth place finish - the second highest finish in our history.

If in the very, very unlikely outside chance that Chelsea fall from 4th to 7th and also win the Conference League, Newcastle stays in the top 5, then 8th place could still get us Conference but we would have to at least win tomorrow and Brentford drop points in their remaining game.

Everything I have learned about Fab Hürzeler this season is that he always sets up his team to play to win regardless and I would expect nothing less from the team that comes out tomorrow.

Can’t speak for the Reds though.

From my post last night from Genoa....this is how to celebrate when your rivals (Sampdoria) get relegated......perhaps we'll be doing the same next year for this year's FA Cup winners.....

Apologies for the shonky camera at times...I was seven floors up on a roof and found out it was at firework explosion height......

It all seemed to be sanctioned by the authorities....even at 1am!

that's why English people go on holidays ....imagine the shitfest if that were going on in England ....fair play to ya mate , hope you had a great night..!!
