The Fatherland
This is why we can't have nice things
This brings me back to a question I asked a week ago, when and why did Brighton support change? Go back 15 or 20 years and away support was boisterous, loud but friendly. There was none of this lets-go-ker-a-zee OTT contrived celebrating.

I'm not so sure. London games have almost always bought out the dickheads. It used to be the further North you went, the away support was as you describe above but London has had Stone island, first pint virgin vibes for years.

I'd agree there is a tendency to over celebrate goals. I reckon this started when the BBC started filming pint luzzing during the World cup and running the clips in the news. Fun at first maybe and possibly even justified if it was a last minute winner to get you into the world cup final but luzzing a pint for sticking 5 past Panama? It's now a competition to be England's biggest dickhead supporter. Some of this has filtered down to the club game. It can do one

Might have an issue at the Amex popping outside for a fag at HT
Of course. Never been able to at the Amex.

Never had a problem going out for a half time smoke at Wolves, Burnley, MK Dons, Palace, Charlton, Chelsea (there are probably others which I've forgotten!)

Amusingly one of our Japanese friends tonight was wandering around N1G/N1H for ages with a full pint of Harveys, right under the noses of multiple stewards. All parties completely oblivious to any wrongdoing :lolol:

As an aside, I do recall your heavily critical comments about the away support at Liverpool this season. This did seem to bother you “that much”.
This person was just flat out an away supporter, they shouldn’t have had tickets in the away end.
