Better than that. Most financial advisers will tell you it’s a safe, tax-efficient component of a portfolio with a reasonable chance of a decent return (as well as the potential ‘big win’ excitement)

It is, but none of them would advise you to use Premium Bonds before maxing out your £20k ISA allowance every year.
