Really frustrated tonight… Yes we have injuries but Dunk stepping in for Webster and Pedro for Rutter weren’t bad options to have and so no excuses as far as I’m concerned.
My frustrations are with us reverting to the style of play pre Forest thrashing. After that game I thought we’d learnt our lesson. In the following 7 games we dropped off and conceded possession a little. We played deeper and more compact as a unit and hit teams hard and fast on the counter. The results were outstanding.
Given this success, why have we gone back to playing a high line and trying to play teams off the park in the last 2 games. I’m sorry but you don’t change a winning formula.
Fab has a very bright future but he needs to ditch these old habits again quickly

I get your point but it wasn’t 50/50 this time. It was a clear forearm smash to the face. I was right by it and seen the replays. Absolutely a foul.
Think he’s been quite underwhelming this season but for the money we paid he’ll get many more chances before we hit the panic button

Slightly over dramatic
Very matter of fact I thought, but I agree, a slightly low brow outlook, all things considered.

I'm rather inclined to sit in for a while longer, Im guessing you'd care to Remain on board.
He is still young and will hopefully get his mojo back but there is no doubt he has gone backwards this season
Hardly surprising given he never gets any game time . . . .

For the first goal, Rashford was expecting the ball over the top and to break against our slow defenders, and Rogers also knew what he needed to do without looking. So they planned for it, but we didn't. Why didn't we? Did we not know we had slow defenders?
I think we had the plan to cover it - Gomez dropping back while the defenders were high. It’s just that Gomez inexplicably wandered off in the wrong direction just as the ball was hit long.

Really? That was a completely self inflicted defeat, through the ability to not do basic things properly.

The ref was fine and both teams had edgy decisions.

We were the better team but made awful decisions at key moments.
Do you disagree about the fouls before their goals? If the fouls had been given, would you have been adamant the decisions were wrong?

With Bart it's less the glaring errors, more the lack of saves, the lack of performances which get us something.

Still a very young keeper, but at this stage of his career, unspectacular
Agreed. To be honest, when was the last time Bart won us ANY points or made a worldie save?
Jeez our defence is slow with Dunk and Cashin. Any attacker that can run faster than an oil tanker with 4 flat tyres can outpace them based on tonight 🤣

I haven't seen any of it. Except in the stadium. So I've no idea. That was a game we were on top of, and we threw it away. That was my view.

If there was some huge injustice, I'll find out tomorrow and give you a thumbs up.

People hype Bart for making routine saves, but when was the last time he made some good saves and had a positive rather than negative impact on the result?

If he’d have been ‘smashed in the face’ it’d have been given and a red card. It was a 50/50 and he gambled. He’s done this about half a dozen times - pretty much every game he’s played and it’s lead to several goals. It just seems to be and easy and obvious thing to coach out of his game. When he’s on the ball or tackling he has something to offer, but he keeps making these stupid decisions.
Hadn’t even noticed before watching the highlights but he did exactly the same for the second goal too, which completely backs up my point (the foul not given by var). He gets a touch and goes down hoping for the foul, which is probably less than 50/50. He needed to stay on his feet (which he could have done) and defend the free player.

He drives me bloody mad.

Our game to win right up until the disallowed goal. After that lost control

Needed to go in at half time winning .

0-3 is harsh

Massive game Saturday, champs league was always a pipe dream but 7th and 8th still on

Tonight could’ve been any one of several previous games when we were fortunate to win, but could easily have lost by a few.

These things happen, they were more clinical and their best players performed better than our best players.

The performance level needs to be raised again, across the board. No need to panic, but we need some steel.
