The handball looked wrong to me. It hit his shoulder but then ran very close to his arm without touching it. The shot they showed the ref on the monitor was a still frame of the ball halfway down his arm, after the touch. That said, the one against Hinch could easily have been given.

We didn't play well, but there were fouls immediately before their second and third goals. If Mitoma is shoved in the back in midfield we get a free kick, in the penalty Atwell waves play on. The Mitoma handball before the goal is dubious, others have said it was right, from the angles Sky Austria showed it was clearly not a hand ball.

In the context of concern about Atwell's ability before the game, I think we are right to be pissed off after the game.

Well that wasn't very good, made Villa look like world beaters
When the (woeful) commentary team (on my fully legal paid for stream) mention Villa and housery in the same sentence . . . . . Tells you all you need to know. Martinez . . . . . Utter ****. A lesser sportsman you'll never meet. . .

villa, forest, Arse'n'all and any other shithouse, time wasting, injury feigning , ref fooling Shart stains. . . . . like 70's shirts . . . Chafing irritants. . .

Win at all costs . . . nothing new there . . . . Leeds . . . .Wimbledon . . . . Argentina. . . .

Well that was depressing. Not one decent final ball into the box in over 100 minutes. Once Rashford scored I knew we’d get mugged on the break again before the game was over. We were the better side but absolutely clueless in opening Villa up.

We were mugged but only have ourselves to blame, played some lovely football until the final third.

Bart should have saved at least one of those goals too.

Mojo on the floor
With Bart it's less the glaring errors, more the lack of saves, the lack of performances which get us something.

Still a very young keeper, but at this stage of his career, unspectacular

What on earth were we doing at our own corner. School boy stuff to concede from there. Bart should have had a better starting position & cleared it - rather than being a rabbit in the headlights & then deciding to run away (he is useless - dropped one in the 1st half too)

Really? That was a completely self inflicted defeat, through the ability to not do basic things properly.

The ref was fine and both teams had edgy decisions.

We were the better team but made awful decisions at key moments.

Adingra has been so poor.

He is still young and will hopefully get his mojo back but there is no doubt he has gone backwards this season

Gets smashed in the face?
If he’d have been ‘smashed in the face’ it’d have been given and a red card. It was a 50/50 and he gambled. He’s done this about half a dozen times - pretty much every game he’s played and it’s lead to several goals. It just seems to be and easy and obvious thing to coach out of his game. When he’s on the ball or tackling he has something to offer, but he keeps making these stupid decisions.

We need to cash-in on Bart and abort on Cashin.
Very good - but too early to judge Cashin yet, remember how many times Webster was written off, but yes it was a bad start. Needs to be judged when we aren’t so open chasing the game. Bart shows it’s a tough life for a goalie when the team plays badly

I get your point but it wasn’t 50/50 this time. It was a clear forearm smash to the face. I was right by it and seen the replays. Absolutely a foul.

two goals conceded because we have shit defenders with no pace. nothing to do with fab

For the first goal, Rashford was expecting the ball over the top and to break against our slow defenders, and Rogers also knew what he needed to do without looking. So they planned for it, but we didn't. Why didn't we? Did we not know we had slow defenders?
