Just far enough away from LDC
A rousing start, with constant pressure by us....
As the first half drags out with no success, Forest snatch a break away goal taking the sail out of the players and fans.
half time Forest 1-0 up.

Second half a buoyant start again all huff and puff, Forest are wasting time and yet again we are hit by a quick break and we are 2-0 down with 10 minutes to play.
Forest think they are coasting and we capitalise on 85 minutes to a half empty stadium.

The fourth official, holds up 5 minutes extra time....

Solly March screamer on 94 minutes...

Only to be ruled out for an infringement by Welbeck, VAR gets involved and the goal..... Stands
2-2

Extra time is pretty dull and we end up on penalties in front of the North stand.
Bart saves the final penalty and the Albion win 5-4

That is my guess
But....does Solly score his penalty and go Stuart Pearce batshit crazy at the east stand?

The 8-0 tommorrow will be a distant memory when we have comprehensively dismantled Palace in the final. This is where I’m at.
If, and it’s obviously a massive if, it transpires that we win the FA Cup beating Palace in the final, I think I would probably retire from supporting Brighton.

Nothing, absolutely nothing would ever top that.

I am at the point of booking a cancellable Wembley hotel for the semi and the final

A cancellable hotel for both dates of the semis obviously

Good point, maybe we should be careful what we wish for? Beat them in the semi and then someone else in the final?

I made the same comment to my eldest last night.

I've seen all our quarter finals. 3 wins and 2 losses so far.

In 83 we played a team just above us but that we'd beaten in the league and month or 2 earlier.

86 a team from a higher division but who weren't the side of ball, keegan, channon, George, mills that they'd had recently

2018 away to a misfiring utd but were clear underdogs

2019 away to lower league opposition and made heavy weather of it - lucky equaliser too

2023 comfortable beaten popular minnows

So home to a top team who have bossed us already once is uncharted territory
They are HADDOCK.

I had an early season dream that we met Palace in the final. If it comes off it would be my first proper premonition.

Brighton factually.....
I want Palace out as soon as possible. I couldn't handle losing to them in the semis or final.

Confident for tomorrow, Forest are a great side but we'll be bang up for it looking for revenge.
I want to beat Palace at Wembley

That will exercise a lot of demons.....

The only way that could be topped as an Albion fan would be to lift a European cup or the Premier League, neither are likely, this is achievable.....

If we were to win the cup, I have a feeling we will look back and say the QF was the hardest game we played. Tomorrow really is 50/50. I'd fancy us in a Semi or a Final against any of the other teams left.

I’m another with a holiday booked for the date of the final. I’m fly to Canada the day before. Not only will I not be there but kick off time if 3.00pm coincides exactly with when I will be picking up our Motorhome so I probably wouldn’t even be able to watch it. Rebooking flights hotel campsite reservations and motorhome hire would just be too much hassle and cost.

A bit too vague for my liking.

You may as well have just posted this:

So many things I'd forgotten about that game. But the main thing is how poor our squad was compared to now.

It’s going to be Palace at Wembley at some point.

Not sure I would be able to get through that torture.

We can't know so might as well live in the dream that we win it.

In fact it is "one game at a time".

I put the Forest game at 50/50 and that is all we need think about for now.
^ THIS ^

(boring, but true)

As it's Fridat, ask me later and maybe that will change to WE'RE ONLY GOING TO GO AND FUNKING WIN IT! :drink:
