Oh do shush. The club allowed the squad to be significantly weakened between last season and this, and didn’t have it’s much vaunted succession planning ducks in a row.
We’ve been left short, and there’s not a manager on earth who could have ground out results much different to ours taking our injuries into account.
RDZ gave us an honest assessment of what would be required to compete on multiple fronts. The board either ignored him, or more likely couldn’t get deals it wanted over the line.
We reach the end of the season, we regroup and go again. RDZ has been fantastic for us, if he needs to vent to feel better let him vent. He’s human too.

I rate him but he needs a squad oozing with quality to play his perfect football.
We’re light years from that now. The Albion team exactly a year ago would destroy this one. Bloom’s not going to be able to achieve that again in a hurry. Players like Baleba are prospects, no more than that. So we’re going to suffer a hell of a lot of losses and draws.
Wondering if a pragmatist is a better option, with our overrated squad?

Feels like we've lowered our standards and got quite complacent across the board.
Probably better than The Moaner from Verona (or wherever he's from).

Not unlucky, Roberto is working with what he has available, and I’m definitely not his mum.
It’s demoralising and frustrating to not have the tools to do your job properly, my personal view is that he’s done well to bear the second half of this season without having an absolute meltdown.
I want him here next season, but I hope we can have a squad capable of what he’s asking. Otherwise we’re wasting each other’s time.

Yes we have some key players out, and that sucks, but adapt to what you have, don’t keep trying to play the same way with players who can’t do what you need / want them to

Bloom has a choice. Back him with money and bring in the players that can make De Zerbi ball work.
Or, get rid and find a manager that can work within the budget we want to/can spend.
All that depends on whether Bloom believes RDZ is the real deal.

But all the injuries bar Solly has been in training or coming back to early from injury. He asking far far too much of the players.

A lot of teams are playing the way we did last year, meaning managers know how to play the system. He needs to adapt as teams know how to counter his tactics.
So what was last season ?
Bloom’s not going to sign three top flight quality CM’ers, a RB and LB.
RDZ might as well try elsewhere.
The next manager can see if he can get back a PL winning machine including Lamptey, Dunk, Milner, Gilmour, Baleba, Webster, Moder. Solly and Mitoma won’t solve issues of a squad where issues are mounting. We’re be rebuilding over 2 or 3 summers.

He, like every manager, is relying on the information from the medical team as to who can play and for how long.
We’ve strengthened the medical team recently, hopefully that starts to lead to fewer injuries going forward.
When you don’t have depth in your squad, you NEED players back, so I understand him reaching for players as soon as they’re available, but he relies on the medical staff to tell him they’re ready to play. This isn’t the manager’s fault.
