Nope. Just feels like another pointless political thread that’ll end up the same way all of them do,

It's currently had 500+views, 150 votes and 60 posts from NSC posters who have shown a bit of common sense, humour and maturity in their contributions. I do accept that it does have the potential to go 'pear shaped' and if it does, I am genuinely sorry for any hassle caused to the admin team on here

Unfortunately I'm off in 5 minutes. Sorry

My heart says Labour .
My head says ' the party most likely to eject our current lazy incumbent who's family connections have effectively destroyed one of her constituency town centres ' , probably I'll hold my nose and vote Lib - dem

I have been disenfranchised for living abroad for over 20 years. Fair enough you may say but my pensions come from the UK and I pay tax there. I used to be annoyed about it but not anymore. I always voted but have usually lived in safe tory seats so it was a waste of a vote really. FPTP sucks imho.

Probably the wrong approach but our current MP has been a great constituency MP, when I had a personal issue on a financial matter she resolved it and even took the time out to ring me herself twice.
Service like that gets my vote.

Whoever voted for SNP needs to have a long hard look at themselves. A disgusting party who have ripped Scotland in two while simultaneously overseeing the distraction of our public services and bringing the appalling Scottish greens into government.

I voted them and you clearly have f*** all idea about what goes on up here, as most of what you have just written is based on media spin. We are not “ripped in two” and there isn’t anything especially appalling about the Greens.

My vote will be tactical, with the LibDems being the best route to unseating my bee killing, forest selling, gay bashing, hard Brexiting wazzock of a Tory. For this reason, I’ve voted LibDem in this poll.

I’m a Green Party member and would vote that way under a different electoral system. But I have to use my one vote as best I can to change the government we have now. If successful, I’ll focus on my other priorities then.

I've voted monster yellow red and green over the years . . . . The last few times there has been a whiff of possibility that the blue **** may lose, but, they seem to wheel out the dead and save the day for themselves.

If the tories win this seat again I won't be suprised. . . . . . Just extremely dissapointed, again. The disrespect for your fellow humans, and neighbours is abhorent. The latest propaganda is hypocrisy in spades.

Tim Laughton has been a two faced bastard for decades, fleecing the nation over £200k a year in expenses alone when he gets away with it . . . The same old local councillors selling te 'hes does stuff for locals' bull shit local tards fall for . . . He doesn't live here, he doesn't care one shit for Shoreham, or Lancing. . . . Its a well paid job with all the right connections.

Now the slimey charlatan has decided to stand down. Portillo was better, at least he had the decency to face defeat.

f*** me, thats saying something.

Same. . . . Except red ran blue closest here . . . My fear is the ignorant stubbornness of labour will split the vote ( although I don't know the lib dem alternative) and a new scumbag will retain the seat. . .

politicics is sooo low, anarchy is a genuine contender. Apathy has already won, which is a big part of the problem

MRL, they're all the flippin' same anyway.
Is Keir Starmer REALLY the same as Liz Truss, or Rachel Reeves the same as Richard Tice? Personally, I think not.

If you mean a Mims Davies, she is off to the new EG and Uckfield constituency. She saw the writing on the wall after the local elections last year. Kristy Adams is the Tories less than convincing replacement candidate. As I mentioned earlier, the polls in Mid Sussex suggest (remarkably) a three way contest

I know what you mean, but it can't be any worse really...

Our local MP Tim Loughton has just annouced his is not going to stand again, think he is jumping before he is pushed, the Labour Candidate Tom Rutland looks like he's just out of secondary school, so probably more in touch with reality than Loughton. Will be interesting to see who the Tories stump up with here...its long been blue, but the last few GE's Loughton has been in a slow decline...
Tim Loughton is a very good local MP from what I've seen.

You're correct mate , I'd forgotten that she is scuttling off too try and find another rock to shelter under .
Lib Dems seem to be actively canvassing here in Haywards Heath , we have a Labour councillor in this ward for the first time in many years so all hope is not lost .

As another Socialist on this thread, I hate this scumbag filth of a government - but Labour has exactly the same policies. I literally hate them all and my local Labour MP is a 2 faced, back stabbing Zionist. I'll vote for what ever left alternative stands in my seat and failing that a begrudging Green. My conscience will be clean when Starmer starts bombing Iran.
