as an aside, I've been voting in GE's since 2005 and this is likely to be the first time the party I've voted for has actually won

Perfectly relaxed about seeing Labour in power again, a spell of competent, focused leadership will stand in marked contrast to the total shambles we have now. But, here in Mid Sussex it’s a tough call as to who to vote for in order to ensure the dreadful Kristy Adams doesn’t win the seat for Tories again (the current MP Mims Davies is scampering off to a safer seat for the second time). Latest polling has all three major parties neck and neck - somewhat surprising to see Labour doing so well here but perhaps indicative of the general desire for change.

Johnny come lately.

Been voting since 1979, and have never voted for a winning MP.

With Labour shift to the right, I still might not.

Peter Kyle - Labour. Partly because he's a good MP and partly because, having spent over THREE hours in the DWP phone queues, to be presented with surly, rude and down right ignorant wankers after finally getting through. There's a reason DWP stands for 'D1cks, W@nkers and Pr1cks'.

Whatever it takes to get this shower out...so thinking Labour...don't think anyone else stands a chance of toppling the Tories, and Labour can't be any worse than what we have, so thats my thinking....very scientific here!!
All depends on where you live with our wonderful voting system. There are quite a few constituencies where Lib Dems have an outside chance of taking a Tory seat with Labour a distant third. Horsham, for example.

So if there were a GE tomorrow, how would you vote ? (Just a bit of fun and all kept anonymous so as not to upset anyone  )
Wow - look at that - Greens have 10% at the moment - Didn’t see that until I voted (Green!)

EDIT - Surprising given Caroline Lucas is stepping down in Pavillion and Labour have clear majorities in Hove and Kemptown constituencies

With the predictable landslide for Labour and the Cons self-destructing faster than a mission impossible cassette,, I feel there’s some breathing space to get the green agenda back on the table. Unfortunately the chances of a Green candidate standing in my neck of the woods (UKIP/Reform, Con stronghold) is remote to none - Returning a Labour MP to Parliament also very remote here but as long as Liz Truss doesn’t hold on to her seat.

Ooops didn’t realise it was supposed to be anonymous- shoot me 😎

Tactical to oust the dreadful Tory.

Women went to prison, were abused, force fed, and one died to get me the vote, so I will never not vote. Sometimes, it’s For what I want, sometimes a protest vote.

Your surprised at Greens being as high as 10% in this poll? I’d have thought they’d be higher given that Brighton has had a Green MP for years.

I see THPP has cast his vote. But will he have a candidate in tartan standing in Pavillion? ???

Whoever voted for SNP needs to have a long hard look at themselves. A disgusting party who have ripped Scotland in two while simultaneously overseeing the distraction of our public services and bringing the appalling Scottish greens into government.
Maybe I should delete post 37

Anyway.....no good criticising other people's choices. You don't get a vote for that (sadly)

As pointed out, the current representative of the People's Republic of Brighton and Hove is green so this may affect a poll on a Brighton and Hove Albion website

None of the manor parties are equipped to deal with the social and environmental issues that actually matter.

Shit for shit, if only there was a more radical alternative.

We are in a state of managed declined and low expectations, a better world is not possible.
