Simply Red were absolutely HUGE? Probably the biggest band in Britain in 1995, one of the few artists to have a simultaneous number one album and single with the EPIC Fairground. I think at that point it was estimated one in every 3.6 UK households owned a Simply Red LP, astonishing.

My mum doesn't like them ever since she went to see them at some point and they didn't play their biggest hit.

I have no idea when this was, where it happened or what the song was.

Just to show how poor 1995 musically was, Robson & Jerome had two singles that both sold more copies than Fairground, and they had the best selling album of 1995.

Thankfully I have no albums or singles by either acts in my collection.
