He is a fantastic player and an even better human being, he was very good for us, but I don't think he fits in legend category.

You need either huge amount of time/dedication to the club, like Hart, Dunk, Gross

Or to be a total X factor of the club when here/record breaker Ward, Zamora, Muzza

Ah did we....

Listening to the albion roar podcast this week, they were discussing our profit announcement and I think Kieran Maguire alluded to about 40 million pounds included that seem to be added and Macallister seems to be the one that could bring a lot more money in if the win in Europe, or the League, possibly an extra 25million

The fact the poll returned a 50/50 split, it's a fact that he's not a legend. The title must come with unanimous or near unanimous backing!

I'd be shocked if Dunk returned worse than 99/1 scores.

This is probably factually true. But Ali Mac played so well for us and acted like such a gent that he is one of the few players I'd like to hit the heights for another club. He will always be fondly remembered by Albion fans whenever he visits, the sort of respect that for me is worth more than money/how much he might earn. Call me an old romantic but money can't buy you love.

No chance. Was on the bench a lot until he scored against Everton then f***ed off end of the next season. I like him but shit thread.

Given that they are both clubs are currently competing for the title – and Ali Mac's team are ABOVE the other lot in the table – I would probably say that he is *already* good enough for 'someone like city'.

Oh – and 'new signing struggles in first few months with their new club' is hardly the 'gotcha' you think it is :lolol:

You mean big boys like France in a World Cup Final. Is that not big enough for you? And countless other international games for Argentina plus PL games for us and Liverpool against other big clubs.

He didn't struggle at the start of the season, he was decent but still obviously finding his feet there in the first few weeks and and he has been outstanding recently. In fact there was a neutral article in The Athletic yesterday saying he is now Klopp's most important player. City would LOVE to have him.

Come on now, just admit you're wrong (like you were about Kudus and Hinshelwood), you're just looking silly now.

He didn’t exactly struggle early on but was played deeper. I’m sure city would love him CM alongside Rodri. At the moment he’s the one digging Liverpool out of any trouble most weeks. 3 goals 4 assists in past 6 league games and there not just goals to add onto a big score line they have genuinely been game changing. Deserves more credit than he gets it can’t always be coincidence teams play better with him in it whether it is us, Liverpool or Argentina.

When played as a defensive midfielder, something new to him. He soon mastered that too, until Endo took over.
