Quite, companies can get away with it by charging an online transaction fee, disguised as a booking fee so why shouldn't retailers, problem is they are easy prey especially as the government don't care about the amount we are robbed by people like ticketmasterNot credit card related, but Seagull Travel charge an 'Online Booking Fee' per transaction.
Not so long ago it was £1.50 per transaction. This season it is £2 and we've been told that next season it will be £3.
I but a season ticket for home travel on ST - so that attracts just the one charge. But for away games it's often only possible to book one game at a time because it's linked to away match tickets going on sale. Travel to London games are around £32 - so the booking fee equates to almost 10%.

Nice to hear that. I have a small shop and have the most competitive card processing company. We dont have a minimum spend as we like to encourage people to come to the shop (although some take the piss when buying just a pack of Rizla with a card), you also find that it is a childs first endeavour in to independence and paying themselves by using a card however our fees are between £400 and £500 a month.
No one or hardly anyone carries cash these days. I often buy things for tiny amounts on Apple Pay mostly.
