Guess he will rub down his contract at Barca - probably out on loan. Can't see anyone paying what Barca want for him, let alone matching his current wages. What happens then will be interesting - he'll be unemployed on £0 per week. Of course, he won't ever need to kick a ball or work again - but, even though he'll be a free transfer, will clubs pay the sort of signing on fee and wages that he and his agent will have come to expect - or will it be, "Take it or leave it - trot on"?
Same question probably applies to young players on loan from the likes of Chelsea, currently on huge wages based on their possible potential, which may never be reached.
