I was quite excited when this was announced but feel the rags to amazing story has been told and covered across a plethora of different channels via youtube, sky, club content, so not really sure
Having seen the rough cut, anyone who was 'there' during the war years will have their own take on how they'd tell the story. There are parts where I thought there was a bit to much of one thing, and not enough of something else. In the pub afterwards, the others felt that another aspect of the story wasn't covered as well as it could have been, while the bits I was concerned about were very well done. It's all subjective.

The balancing act for the producers comes from - 'who are they telling the story to?' We collectively know what happened; we were there, so we all have in-built spoilers. They also have to tell the story to people who weren't there; to fans of other clubs. In that respect, they've hit a pretty decent balance, and the spirit of the journey is very much there.

I understand that, at the press viewing, the general consensus was that it is an amazing story, brilliantly told.

That's odd, because I've just been in contact with someone at Abacus and they said: 'Unfortunately, there has been production delays on Brighton Stand or Fall and we do not have a release date yet.'

Looks like this information (from November last year) still stands...

Ive long given up caring. Hard to think the story hasnt been covered in depth muliple times already while weve been waiting. It's hardly going ot be new news to anyone so can only see Albion fans having any interest in it.

Would be quite amusing if anybody who was at the DoY 'preview' screening could provide a brief rundown of scenes in sequence and NSC could cobble together a near approximation of the thing by - let's say - the end of the weekend. Just for shits and giggles like 😀

Almost feels like this is a little bit past it now. The time to release it was when we were flying high in the Premier League and beating teams in Europe. Feels like our season has died a bit now and a lot of the excitement has gone. Certainly for the neutral, anyway. It’s ridiculous how long it’s taken.

Whats the point with this
Making a club sponsored documentary is shit in the first place, "sry cant use the material the club gave u because you said something bad about us". ALready at that point it turns from documentary to PR and I dont see how its going to be anything but a shallow tribute video to ourselves. Not to mention they seem to be waiting for some perfect moment that wont come because when it does there will always be a new perfect moment in the horizone. Releasing a trailer when you obiovusly dont have even a half done movie is utterly amateurish not to mention tinpot. Like a forgotten school project. Dont know who is (or isnt) making this but maybe he should stop pretending to do movies and get a real job instead

Presumably our succession planning is so f***ing wonderful there's a sequel due out soon

I’d be happy with a tribute video to ourselves. I think we’ve done pretty well.
