I thought, Steele aside, that he’d picked a really strong 11 considering the players missing.
Don't disagree.

But when some of us said that the players coming back to fitness, wouldn't be ready for the matches that mattered,
We did mean it.

It wasn't just entitled whingeing.

With us having our best spell in the game and only 2-0 down mid way through the second half if we can bring it back to 2-1 the tie is still alive in the second leg. Of course we’ll never know as the goal stood.
We didn’t score?

No, but once we went 3-0 down heads went down and we had checked out. 2-0 down and on top with 20 minutes or so left and we have a good chance to bring it back to 2-1.

Come on. That team should have been perfectly capable of being organised and hard to score against. We resembled a sieve. Shocking performance and ultimately you have to question how we are approaching football matches. Luton, Fulham, Roma, aggregate score 11-0

This was given onside in the Liverpool game as well. Also odd

Veltman. Van Hecke. Dunk. Estupian
Gross. Gilmour. Baleba/ Lallana
Bounanotte, Welbeck. Adringa

Subs to be used. Ati. Encisco.
I don’t think playing Pervis and Joel and Baleba would have made the slightest difference.
Perv goes awol in defence and Veltman hasn’t got 90 mins in him yet. Baleba hasn’t started for months either .

The team he put out was the best available ( goalie maybe not)

Wait until you see the line up Vs Forest , as that will look weak.

That was a game at 2-0 down crying out for Adam Lallana; strange how RDZ brought defenders on first

Forest at home is now a really important game.
Will show how we are in terms of morale and belief. We really need to show some steel and desire to get a result.
Roberto needs to earn his salt.

But our manager doesn' t play that way.

Maybe Bloom should have come out and said. "De Zerbi is going to have to grow up and shut up shop" instead of "we have all these players coming back we'll be all right"

Wtf was that?. 4-0 up, every decision go romas way and they start cheating.
European cup competition isn't about football as we know it, it's a different level of kick/non kick cuntiness.

If you refer to the 'Football gone wrong' manual . . . .

Chapter 2 is all about gamesmanship . . Chapter 3 . . . . Cheating in disguise. . .

Greasey cheating Latino's . . . Chapter 4

Chapter 8 is a new addition, combining all of the above, in one, and suggests ' shithousery' as a general approach.

there's also a weapons grade adendum . . . Mentions Villa , and Emeri. . . Not sure its In print yet . . . Still on the dark web possibly
