Imaging doing all that and then not getting picked over a player who was only going to be fit for half the tournament.Spare a thought for anyone who didn’t make the squad for the champions. Especially any who ‘switched allegiance’ to be the ‘star man’ at Ivory Coast. Imagine that eh.
