six feet beneath the moon...
It's just not a high bar though. No one has done any deals of note, many teams just doing loan business.

If Barco's decent then we will have had a good comparative window to many EPL clubs - but we won't have addressed major shortcomings in the current squad thanks to injuries and several summer signings not really working.
what’s frustrating is, bar the situation with the wingers, these are all shortcomings that have been apparent since the summer. if we’re playing catchup now in a very depressed market then that’s no one’s fault but our own

Only if we tell him to sign your name
Dont think he is going anywhere, apparently his moving on was down to not having said something, but he has since said if they let him stayayay, he'll say what he should have said.

If we don't sign anyone/players to fill the gaps in the squad then I for one will be very excited* to read the endless threads dissecting RDZ's every word, facial expression or action. Especially as everyone will come to the conclusion that he's f***ed off with the club and definitely wants out. Even if he says the exact opposite.

*No, no I won't be.

Given we now have a decent reputation globally as a club, excellent scouting, a decent amount of money and a very high profile manager, I'm going to trust the club if we don't sign any experienced players.
I do think we could look a bit silly if we have another run of injuries...seems most supporters of most clubs seem to expect less injuries after the horrors of the first half of the season- no reason why that would be the case.
There is an argument to say whilst other clubs seem very stuck in the mud we should be out making hay.

There have been enough rumours linking us with players that it seems likely we are trying to sign at least one first team ready player. I have a feeling that as there are few clubs able to go large, Albion are trying it on with low valuation offers, and as such no one is jumping at them, hoping for better.
Gil from Spurs should happen if we are after him, as long as the player is willing to come here.

I’m very confident about a left footed right winger coming in, it’ll probably be Gil but I suspect there are some more permanent signings under consideration.

I’m less confident about a left footed central midfielder as Samardzic and KDH has gone quiet. Did we look at Wharton or did we deem him to have been not good enough?

My simulator says we're one short at LCB/LB (even after the Barco signing) and CF. Can be a young'un or old.
Unfortunately my favourite for LCB, Buongiorno, has gone and injured himself. (Would have liked to have him in the same team as Buonanotte!)
For CF, Sima also injured now and we screwed up on Boniface. Shame Undav coudlnae hack it... I do like Shankland from Hearts - cheap, good age, hits the target, can do it on a wet Tuesday, shitehouse, in good form, not injured.

As for CDM - I'm hoping/believe Moder is our go-to for that slot now (along with Billy and Bally).

Gil can't get in an injury ravaged Spurs team.

Hark! Is that alarm bells I hear ringing?

Left footed play making DM. It's an odd one. Palace have moved quickly for these youngsters. Definitely another other teams will regret not getting when they were cheap.
